That was cool. Would've loved to hear more of the Rhodes through the Wurli setting. I'm definitely someone that has a rhodes who wants to own both... But space is an issue and also the money!
Really, really interesting sounds. The Rhodes settings with a Rhodes input sounded "fuller." I'm not sure exactly what was different, but it sounded even better than just the dry signal.
I was suppressed by this one. I thought this was just going to be a fun experiment. But it actually was fun. I think blended it has the potential to really shine!
@@aerosilla good question, I haven't tried that. It does seem to add a few effects at once, there is EQ, and some generated sounds. I would imagine most digital pianos have a better sounding electric piano sound built in.
If you were not sure on this one.... you wont like the monosynth video.... I agree though I love my Fender Rhodes Piano and part of my motivation for making these video is to have a little fun and also to counter the common argument of "a fender rhodes only makes one sound". If pushed it can make many more, though at the same time, why? How long have you owned your piano?
Glad I found this, I have a RMI Electra piano and would love to try the pedal on it. My piano has no velocity control so I don't know if it would be great. P.S. You should also try it with the B9 pedal!
I'm thinking to buy one of these for my Rhodes MK I. It would also be great to play it through the C9, B9, Synth 9 and Mel 9. Could you please also make a video with these pedals?
@@deancoyle Since guitars, Rhodes and the Pianet T all use electromagnetic pickups, I guess it would sound very much like your Rhodes, which is pretty cool. I could use it for busking with a battery powered amp.
Honestly man. Super calming, you sold me on this pedal.

@@deancoyle will it work on a 9vt battery guitar connector ,
@@Jack-fs2imSays 9V on the pedal
@@Jack-fs2imA battery won’t last very long, however
You did it you mad lad! Welp my curiosity has been scratched! Thank you man
Any time!
Great pedal, EH put out some really interesting effects!
Thanks so much for this series! Great idea, might try it with my rhodes mk1 stage model
Thank you Konrad, Glad you are enjoying it!
Thanks to this video, I just got one of these pedals. I’m using it the other way round, to get my Wurli to sound like a Rhodes and it sounds great.
Glad it helped John!
I thought it would be more an experiment using this on a piano not a guitar, but it actually is useful and fun to play with.
@@deancoyle Would it turn any digital piano into a rhodes or wurly?

How tf can you have all that gear but not tell your guitar is awfully out of tune.
😅
I think we're missing the point here that for those of us who purchased our Rhodes pianos years ago, we bought them because we didn't want a wurlitzer

I do look out the b9 version. I have recently tried the pog2 and that created some nice organ tones.
goodvid

Good idea, I would love to try those pedals on an electric piano, if I see one come up at a good price I make a video on it So many possibilities.
@@deancoyle this would be great
Please, get a EH C9 and try it on the rhodes. (I want to buy one but its so expensive to buy it and be disapointed by the final result 🤣)
I do want to try one of them. Hopefully will pick one up this year. I bet its fun if its good organ sound or not!
Great pedal (I have it) but great presentation. Ta!
more important... can it make casio privia to suitcase rhodes
happening!
Fine pedal but waaaay too expensive for what they are. I don’t see much use for those gimmicks.
EH stock just seems to be going up and up,now I know why!
...it is an addiction!
I am suffering from the same affliction.. In the last month I've bought a tubescreamer, phase 90 and a Boss PW-10 (its fantastic, really underrated!)
can you play chords and fast ?
It does have its limitations, sometimes it doesn't track right, but you adjust your playing to suit it.
@@deancoyle mmmm its for single or double notes as a melody methinks.think I,ll stick to my wurly but great video ,thanx v much
You got too much guitar in the mix to just test the keyboard sounds..
I will consider that in future, thank you for the feedback.
Great video Dean. Now I want this for my new Pianet T that I got to replace my beloved Rhodes.
ooo that would be interesting to see how the Pianet sounds through this pedal.

Has anyone told you you sound like Carl Benjamin? 😆
Haha you are the first!
Not really showing what the pedal can do on a plain piano setting like on a Donner or say a Yamaha P125. So in actuality, this video is mute.
If you want I could try that pedal with a keyboard using a piano sound?
