I love my Gen 3. It's hands down way better than the Gen 2. In regards to the TRX, it's a fast street truck that can offroad. The Raptor is offroad truck that is a quick street truck.
False. The TRX is an off-road truck first that is as fast as a sports car. The wheel travel, suspension, jump detection, thick skid plates, locking rear diff, and so much more. Very ignorant comment but glad the Ford boys have something to like bc the rear end of a TRX can’t feel good.

1st-world problems. I actually prefer the Raptor with the 3.5 Eco. its not the fastest, but its def the better package in my opinion.
Raptor is light truck with small motor. The TRX is a monster it’s a different type of beast, it’s an apocalypsis vehicle. Build to do everything. Done.

I had a Gen 2 Raptor and loved it but unfortunately it gave me a lot of problems. Traded that in for a TRX and I’m more than pleased. That Supercharged V8 is intoxicating-from its sound to its overall performance. The gas mileage is manageable because I drive it in Snow Mode most of the time. However, put that thing in Baja Mode and do a launch. I guarantee you will be smiling from ear to ear.
Definitely the wrong place to test both trucks. You should've went to Johnson Valley CA or Jean NV. That's the terrain those trucks were built for.

The best ability is availability. You’ll be lucky to see a raptor r let alone have chance to buy one for 150k minimum. Ram wins.

I prefer the TRX but as I tow I have a 3500 diesel and will never replace it with these toys but they are great for fun if you have them.
What auxiliary addition does the raptor have. I see two switches flipped so I was wondering. Both trucks are great though.
We were just playing with the switches. They make a fun sound when you flip them, so it's hard not to.

Larlos Cago 🤣😂 I miss you from the Motor Trend/Roadkill days. I don't think they'll ever get away will fully electrifying. Maybe half-tons, no way over 8500lb gvrw, the Raptor and TRX will move to the Super Duty (making a Super Raptor with 7.3L power) and hopefully the HD Ram. Even if they offered a V8 plug in hybrid with legit Tq fill that acts like a supercharger in performance mode, offer a decent range for quick local, traffic jams and a nice long battery useful for off-road camping situations for lots of power and even ac without burning fuel. It could really be great. I think it will be the death of the 20th century companies if they try to force EV. Nobody wants to pay $100k for a truck that will have dead batteries in a decade. They'll hoard old vehicles and rebuild them over and over and over, even if they have to grow their own organic matter to create oil to burn in a diesel or distill ethanol ICE will carry on forever.

How about driving these trucks in Baja. Drive at least in the Baja 500 and do some jumps then give a opinion. Any truck with a 4x4 would have no trouble with the drive you did.
Love my 17 Raptor's shifter, look, feel. The new one is cool, but not near as sexy, tough looking. Ford should at least cover it which decent materials. The F150 Tremors shifter looks better than the Raptor's . Come on Ford, wake up.

Buying a new raptor is ridiculous at 92k to 100k. I’ll just buy a 2014 and put a new icon dynamics suspension on it with either 35’s or 37’s.
Just buy a xlt or lariat and add a 6 inch fox coil over kit and it's already better than the raptor and cost 30k less
I did just that. Grabbed a 2012 6.2 raptor with 55,000 miles. I have 0 complaints. May not be as quick or powerful but I have that v8 sound. And it can do more than I’ll ever need it to do.

I ordered one I. December ‘21 and they told me Sept (‘22) in April I heard nothing so I bought an 1800 mile identical unit across the country and drove it home. 4 months later still love it

The Raptor not offering the 5L as a discount option or a version of the 7.3L is absolute Idiocy , in the real world heavy 4wd big tire F150s have gotten better mileage with the V8 than the Ecoboost since the beginning. I never saw the appeal unless you live in Denver tow max and the elevation takes too much toll on your power. The TRX not having 2wd for fuel economy reasons alone is mental. I would have rather had a Hellcat option for a reg cab short bed 2wd SRT-10 successor. It's all about as stupid as GM not using the piston from the 4.3L V6 in the base V8 to supercede the 5.3 with a 5.7 that matches or the 400hp base F150 and Ram V8s and the 6.6L as the option...even if it's the Aluminum block in half tons so the ZR2 has more guts to be excited about, much less if they offered the LT-4 or LT-5 blower on the 6.6L and offered it in the Camaro and Corvette while they're at it instead of the silly 5.5L that cost a fortune to make and will be as pointless and the black wing was.

I doubt you'll be able to take it very far! My 2nd Gen Raptor regularly gets over 500 miles a tankful....and then after a 15 minute fuel stop I can go another 500.

Looking back at this video, you slowly picked apart (ride, screen, no 2wd, mpg, and maybe others) the trx throughout the drive, but had 1 thing to say about the Raptor...the engine.
Having owned a 2nd gen, now a 3rd gen Raptor...trust me, I wish it had a v8 option at least.
I'm biased, I know, but living with the Raptor 2nd/3rd gens for over 4 years, it is the best overall choice for this type of vehicle. That being said, if you have to have a v8, then by all means (at this time), you don't deserve a Raptor.

These videos do zero justice to the stupid Ness of the TRX. 702 HP in a pickup truck... it's literally nuts. In auto mode, under half throttle, it's civilized. Get over 1/2 throttle or put it in sport mode and 1/4 throttle you're spinning all 4 tires and leaving your lane accidentally. I love that Ram / Dodge makes these stupid, stupid vehicles that no one else has the balls to make. You will never have that experience in a Ford.
