- Does Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra REALLY Prevent Swirls?
Back in November 2021 the Suzuki Swace was taken down to KDS Keltic for a full paint correction, followed by a coating of Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra and Exo v4.
After 6 months, regular washing, and being a black car - how does the condition of the paintwork look?

Impressive 👍. Real good test especially with the black paint. Seems to me no matter how careful you are swirls always appear some how on black cars.
True. But a good solid coating, and the right wash technique can certainly delay the inevitable.
You’ll always get some swirls no matter how careful you are , lots of variables like how soft or hard the clear coat is and protection, and wash method and technique , there’s some people that claim they been washing there car for 4 years and not got a single swirl , some say they been doing rinseless wash for years and not got a single , I find that very hard to believe though as there’s no such thing as 100% safe wash and dry method
I like to use a ceramic detailer after I wash my coated car. I think it gives a sacrificial layer. Meguiars ceramic detailer very good and easy to use

Hi, thanks for the update video. What lamp are you using to check the surface of the car? I'm planning on putting Gyeon MOHS and Skin to my black BMW in the next 1-2 months and need something to check for my paint correction work.
A mix of old fashioned halogen, and a Ring hand held LED
Have you heard about Gtecnic starting to tell their installers not to top Ultra with EXOv4 anymore? I've heard from 2 different certified installers they've been told not to do it or more so it's not needed
Not heard that.
I've been on the fence about getting this because it is a little pricey but I mean if this is a good indication of what I can expect then I may place that order then tonight. I have a few other brands in the shop yet that I haven't finished the bottle and i always feel guilty buying more when I have so much already lol.

@@TheDetailingSpace Thanks, you've done extremely well not to get a single mark, I'm not so fortunate, I'm picking up very light swirls on my car but I believe it's marring in the EXO as it's a soft finish.
Hey mate, with the ava pressure washer, can I connect a aftermarket stubby gun to it? Do I just need to make sure the gun is for karcher?
The gun it comes with is stubby enough IMO. Not tried any adaptors etc

I live here in the US. When my cousin gave me his father's Camry. The paint was a mess. Not a good paint job at all. This Spring and Summer we've had a lot of pollen here. It seem like you wash your car and it back on heavy the next day. Plus when you have allergies like I do it's even worse. But I can't really complain because the 2000 Camry LE was free. I have done a lot of work on the Camry to bring it back to where it was when it was new. But of course I know I can't do that. But still make it better than it was. I just get really angry because of the pollen. I can't do anything about nature. I'm not going to put a ceramic or graphene coating on a bad paint job. It would be a waste of time. I watch your videos all the time. Or when you have them on.

Not very scientific at all - you need a control panel (or panels) with no coating, so we can see whether or not the coating does in fact aid with swirl prevention. I feel none the wiser.

Yup. Don't think any respected brands will claim to prevent, but can certainly help to delay/minimise.

Well, it's 3 years this November
My wife's 2007 FJ Cruiser has no paint treatment. It has zero swirls after 16 years. Paint looks great. I don't understand why people are spending the money on ceramic coating. Seems like snake oil to me.

@Fin time and good polish works,I've done it myself with a black car,swore if never own a black car again,but when it looks good it's too hard to pass up,so I got ceramic coat this time,it's so easy to look after,trust me it's not snake oil
