I really do like the way you break in your engines - I watched your 1/8 engine break in which is similar to this
I’ve seen people use 5ltrs to break in which looks absolutely painful IMO

i only do 1 tank run in on the starterbox, second tank rich on track and adjusting some rounds, after 5 tanks i drive it with final adjustment. only LM engines like sirio/xrd/teamOrion need some liters because they're very thight turned in the cnc process but they do like 20liters without problems. OS is nice but hard to tune and u need expensive spares after 10 Liters

Do I need to pre heat the engine on a new engine?

      PLEASE YES!!! 100C or 210F

you should really pre-heat the engine first. you inflict a lot of damage on the connecting rod when the piston is forced through the pinch area of the sleeve. pre-heating will relieve this stress.

Do you change the rods after you run them in?

Not after 1,5 liter break-in, i usually run another 1,5 liters so total of 3 liters after break in. The second rod can easily go another 5 liters.

Did you pre heat engine before 1st start?

its easier on the crank if you do and also wrap the head in foil to maintain heat

during break in the temperature can not be low, a least 85-90ºC. I do not agree with this method
