Hey Y'all, we are Justin and Lil, and we are building a DIY Solar power system to provide all our electricity we need to live completely off the grid in our 28 ft. RV while we build our dream house on 18 acres of raw land.
We designed and sized the solar power system ourselves using the following components from Signature Solar:
    Inverters: 2 x EG4 6500EX Off-Grid
    Batteries: 6 x EG4 LL 48V 100AH
Battery Rack: EG4 LL 6 slots
    Solar Panels: 10 x Boviet 400W + 15 Solarever 410W Mono
This week we are excited to make progress toward getting off the grid. This week I built a simple but solid solar panel array for our off-grid homestead. It consists of two separate arrays, each with five, 400W Boviet solar panels to feed our two EG4 6500EX inverters. Each inverter will receive one array as PV input. This is just the beginning of our off-grid solar power system and I plan on expanding these arrays in the near future.

4KW starter system is the perfect size. Excellent ground mount construction. Well done, sir!

Thanks, we planned it this way just so we can move out here faster but knew we would have to upgrade our power input to survive the summer

I just found your video. You got to start somewhere. Do you have a battery bank you are using with this setup? I would love to hear more deatils of your entire setup.

Working on the next video about the inverters, and will have one about batteries soon!

How did you know what angle to mount them at? I assume you base it on your latitude, but do you maximize it for the summer, winter or spring/fall?

Yes, based on latitude and I am not optimizing the angle right now. I have it tilted about 30° right now. They are going to be permanently ground mounted.

Love how simple of your ground mount. I subscribed your channel. Please post more vid and hope your driveway or road to your home is less trouble with the rain.

Thanks! These are temporary panels until we build our house so I didn't want to invest a lot of money and time into them but needed something that would be sturdy, handle the weather, and last a few years. This was as simple as I could make it.
