  • Tried to do a XC coffee run this morning but was fogged in. Got a short flight in to work out PPG Smoke Chase cam and the DJI Osmo Action

    Now I want a short wing piper. Back in 1984, when I started taking flying lessons in Robstown Tx. There was a Tri pacer on the field priced at 4,000. If I only had a time machine! Awesome footage!

    I had a Colt (8 years) loved it, got a D-35 for (39 years now) had a C-140 for (30 years), I wish I had a Tri-Pacer, Colt or Pacer now. Great video, thank you for posting this.

    Hey David, thank you for sharing these incredible views. As usual, I enjoyed the flight as well. Great aiplane. By the way, the engine sounds smooth as silk. Great work.

    I’m currently looking at a Pacer as my first plane so I enjoy watching your videos. I live in Flagstaff, AZ so roughly 30 minutes from Sedona. Im fortunate enough too see beautiful northern AZ on a daily basis. Keep the vids coming!!

    So good to see another post from you!! I've been so inspired by your footage I bought a TriPacer a little over a month ago. All this scenery is in my back yard!! My wife and I reside in Hurricane. If you are ever out this way I'd enjoy meeting and flying together. Thanks again!!

    Dude, your videos inspire me to explore in my Tri. I’m a new pilot & currently have a short wing for my first plane. I’m slowly gathering the nerve to explore further and further; but if you’re ever visiting SW Texas area -I’d be awesome to meet-up. …Blue Skies…

    Hey David, did you do a heated pitot for the IFR cert on the aircraft and if you did what did you go with?

  • @beechvtail
    @beechvtail 2 місяці тому

    This might have been addressed before. Do you have an autopilot? Hand flying IFR is tough. Good for you.

      @@beechvtail I don’t and you are right. It’s a lot to hand fly IFR. We ended up upgrading to a V35 so we have autopilot now.

    Good to see you back, David. You have been missed. Hope that you are well and that all is well. Thank you for the video. Did you feel any effects of the 11,500 ft. altitude when your O2 level was 88? That actually is considered borderline low, I think.

    • @davidschmaus1

      Thank you! You know. I don’t think I really noticed any difference. I talked to a doctor friend and he said about 85 would be ok.

      @@davidschmaus1 I suppose it depends on the source of the information and the person being measured, too. I searched on line for 88 reading and that's what it said. I was just curious. I just finished watching your Michigan flight Part 1. Really glad to see you and the videos again. Someday, I hope to get up to the Dayton area. Family in the region. Used to go up a couple of times per year or more, but haven't been in several years.
