McNair Barracks used to be my home during my military service in Berlin at HHC 6th BN. I had been there before, during, and after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The wall fell on Thursday, November 9, 1989. I could witness the Reunification of Germany on Wednesday, October 3, 1990 as well while doing my service in the United States Army.

Was in D 6/502 from 91-94. I remember getting in trouble for painting that engineer castle infantry blue one night. That was the courtyard in front of our company area. I was about to leave Berlin when the wall "came down". After 3 years of the wall ( and some other very stupid stuff) that was one of the most surrealistic moments of my life.
