Finally someone who can explain Ableton simply. The other tutorials I've been going through have been so confusing. This is excellent. Thank you for putting it together.
I've spent countless hours watching Videos on this Topic, trying to learn Ableton, and NOTHING has come close to this Video! Straight to the point, and like the person below me said, very concise! Thank you!
I don´t know what to say brother. It seems like I was waiting for years of watching videos to get to this magical explanation. You´re the best teacher I´ve ever had. Thank you a lot. From Paraguay
I wanna thank you so much for this tutorial. For me, this was more like 2 hours, but holy shit what im learning from you. Have paused, tried to replicate, writing things down etc. Finally my music creations starts right here, right now! Best tutorial i've seen out there. Thank you!
Very good practical introduction to making a basic beat, thanks. Like others in the comments though, I'm missing the 'minor chord' feature. I'm using Ableton Live 11 Suite.
10/10 for this as a fan of your music josh this was easy to understand no bullshit waffle at start just straight into what I was wanting to know already got a decent little beat kicking after my first proper night on ableton so big up mate thankyou ! Will definitely be using synthohub as I continue to learn 👍🏼
Absolutely class tutorial! First time using ableton and you make it so enjoyable to use and learn with. Just arranging my track now can't thank you enough for getting me the ableton learning bug!
This is great, the way you dived right and cut to it. Out of all Live tuts on this thing, I never got going this fast. I've had Ableton for years and have not been able to get my head around it. But this simple direct lets go approach helps tremendously. One thing though, it's missing from mine. I have everything else you have there except that one and I have the latest version. Can you tell me how to get it to show up or how to get it? More of this please.
I wish I could find something like this for drum and bass. Every video I've ran into just has folks that have things already made none of the basics. Thank you for doing the basics.
love the video thanks a lot, clearly a lot of effort went into this. new producer here, just finished my first ableton course here offline and now watching videos to learn how to make my first track. i have live suite 11, bt for me there is no minor chord.adv. I do have all the others i see on your list. I also used the search bar, no results... this is weird right?
what headphones for mixing do you recommend? I would use them on the go, I tried Ath-m50x but I don’t like it for low-end. It would be convenient not to have a headphone amplifier but if you need to listen to the right low end to be able to make precise choices in headphones, then that’s fine.
Can’t find the notes dropdown next to clip at 3:07 but I still have the duplicate button above where u have loop. Is this a problem or do I need to fix it
How do I get it to that screen where it says hi hats and drums and what not on the left where I can lay them all out easier in the program I got 12 and I’m trying to learn this
@@synthohubeducation Do I need an amplifier? I would like to use it on the go. In my home studio I have apollo twin x and a pair of high impedance Beyerdinamic, but is there a solution for those who travel and want to hear good bass without bringing back an amplifier?
10:06 Why don't my menus from Instruments section contain the same options as yours? I don't see anything like 'Synths & Keys' in mine, should I download some package from the Ableton website or what's going on?
He might have added some samples from external sources or your ableton might not be te same as his (live, pro, suite) that they vary on quantity of content
Hate to be the one shamelessly plugging themselves in the comments but I have a bunch of brand new royalty free acapellas available now on my UA-cam if you're in need of soft female vocals for house music!
This is honestly one of the clearest and most concise tutorial I have seen, thank you!
learnt more in 15 minutes than I have ever. it's so fun when you start to understand how it works and can experiment. thanks josh~

Bro... Thank you so much for A) getting RIGHT into it, and B) being a great teacher.
This is really what i was needing, quick and interactive lesson, and covers some important stuff to start memorizing about ableton, thanks!!

After watching this, I'm on my way to that big festival stage now Thank you!

this is ableton 11 right? thanks for the video bro!
When I click to add a bass drum, the length of the note takes up the whole timeline. Does anyone know how to set the length?
Hi Im missing the drumsynth no gainer. Could it be missing? Im using ableton live 11 suite.
This is where i got stuck too.😑
Cheer up mate
i have everything but "minor chord" in my midi effects package. how can i get it?
choose chord midi effect, then you want one note at 0 semi tones, one at +3 semi tones, and another at +7 semitones - this is a basic minor chord.
What headphones are they
Beydrynamic DT770
