Hey, Honour’s looking good, sounding good too. Nice ride through the villages etc and Morcambe Bay is just gorgeous. Congrats on the MOT pass, always a relief. I hate MOT time. Edna was due her first MOT last October, but she was SORNED over winter; so I have got an MOT to endure before Edna gets taxed for the 1st June. Great work as always Ian; take care bud. Cheers Neil aka MrG 🤪
Thanks Alex. Although she does get put into winter hibernation, she does spend the rest of her time outside under a bike cover. It’s a good job that I enjoy polishing my bikes 😂
Hi Ian, nice to meet you today. The blade passed no problems, all sorted for the TT in a couple of weeks. Your bike sounds so much better in the flesh and I concur with the tester about the baffles! I like your channel, good work. The LC looks lovely. Suscribed. John, Bloke with the Blade.
Love your YT name. Great to chat with you, enjoy the TT, and great news about the Blade. I will do a run with the baffles removed at some point. Cheers for the sub, appreciated 😎
It was delightful riding along on the Interceptor! I thought that I recognisd Morecombe Bay, from a previous video. The bike looks great with the modifications (no wonder your front brake is so good😁). Out with the baffles then.....
…yes, I will do a ride with the baffles out, fairly soon. That part of Morecambe Bay has featured quite a lot in my vids, just not that spot. Wonderful views along there on a clear day like this. Yes the “Brembo’s” were a good, and cheap mod 😂
Hi Ian, nice video. Would you be able to provide a link to that tail bag? I’ve looked through hundreds of listings on Amazon and can’t find it or anything particularly similar; that size with the type of clips it’s got and the zip on the top. Thanks!
Hi, tbh I couldn’t find it on Amazon when I wanted a second one for my Classic 350. It is an Autokicker Tailbag, and the only one like it, is an updated version, which you can find on eBay, this model being expandable, still good, but it does sit a little higher than the original. They are still there, though I can’t find a link, they are priced at £17.75 plus p+p. Just type Autokicker Tailbag in search. Hope this helps.
I really enjoyed that ride, thanks. Glad the bike passed the MOT without a hitch. Can you tell me what camera you are using please? It is very clear and very stable. Some UA-cam biking channels lately seem to have shaky videos and not clearly focused but yours is excellent. Thanks again. Dave
Hi Dave, thanks for the comment. I have recently upgraded to a DJI Osmo Action 3, which has absolutely blown me away with the quality. Hooking up to a wired mic in the helmet was a bit of a pain to get sorted, but I think that is also just about there now too. Here is a link to the method I used for that ua-cam.com/video/DRyU78s705k/v-deo.html , I have since tweaked the in camera volume settings a bit more, to what you can hear now. I use Davinci Resolve 18 free editor, and increase the output volume in editing. I am happy to help with that if needed. Cheers
Thanks Ian - great simple mods , Ive got an Orange Crush Interceptor and was interested in what the front fork spacer does ? apart from dampening compression does it raise the front end up ? cheers, Tom
Hi Tom, no the spacer doesn’t alter anything, other than just preloading the spring. Removes the clattering feeling. An inexpensive mod to make the ride more enjoyable. Cheers
Nice to see one without black rims. It would be nice if it had chrome fenders and a brighter colored tank. I prefer the orange tank. I'd also replace the shocks with some chrome ones that didn't have those hideous reservoirs.
Looking pretty damned spiffy Ian I have to say sounds good not sure if baffle removal would sound any better .Nice run mate much enjoyed and clocks are better and for sure will outlast TFT is that controversial ?😉👌👍
I can see clocks in some form making a comeback on modern retro bikes, but maybe not on the tourer/adventure/sports bikes. I have to try with the baffles out, maybe do a with/without video. A good excuse to make some noise 😂😎 Cheers
Hi Ian, I own an interceptor 650. I see that you loved the ride on a honda hornet 750. Im into comfortable trouble free ride my long distance would not be more than 5 hrs. Considering my requirement would you trade in your interceptor for a hornet? Ps: im not into getting there first but getting there without a sore back and getting there.
Good morning. I am sure many Hornets owners would disagree, but I don’t think I could ride for more than a couple of hours due to the seat. A problem found on many modern bikes, which in my humble opinion is ridiculous, as this makes them, not fit for purpose. Even many adventure tourers have the same issue. The fact that manufacturers offer a “comfort” or “touring” seat option in the accessories list, is proof. As for trouble free, then I don’t think for one minute you would have any issues, after all it is a Honda. At the end of my test ride on the Hornet, I shouted to my wife (in the van), that I wanted one…….but that was the adrenaline talking. For me, if I wanted a bike to have a blast on, it would be ideal. If I wanted a mile muncher, I would be looking in the direction of the outgoing Honda CB500X or the new NX500. Quick enough to have a bit of fun on, but a reliable/dependable tourer, with excellent mpg figures. I have yet to ride either, but they have a firm fan base, and raving reviews. In fact, if I ever came into some money, I would be looking at the NX500, if I had a bit more money, it would probably be a Triumph Tiger Sport 660. Hope this is of some help. Thanks
I do like the Black one & Silver Spectre & Glitter & Dust colours the best. The Silver Spectre paint was stunning especially after been detailed & the Black(mk 3) & Silver Spectre are less common which is great in my book.
Hello Ian from sunny Scotland and thankyou Ian ❤.

We all have our opinions, Honour has that perfect mix between modernity and classic lines for me 😉

Birds shooting out of the hedge rows? It’s where they live! They are allowed to go out, you know.🤣😂😆
I wish they wouldn’t do it when I ride past 😂

I like Black, a bit devilish 😈😂
