Try using adhesion promoter to attach things when using double sided tape. 3M makes wet wipe sized packets that work well. Much stronger bond. Used many times. Highly recommend.

I always let new badges "marinate" for a day or so - if you immediately notice it's crooked or off center than yank it but if it just looks "weird" I give it a day or so....
