Hendo really was the shining light that season. With Gerrard leaving (and not starting games) and Sterling shining bright but burning quick, Hendo started showing his captain credentials here.
He has been very professional, regradless which team he's in. 49m for a budding youngster wasn't a bad deal for, that was a win-win to both Liverpool and him.
Imagine if Lampard was in Liverpool instead of Gerrard. He definitely wouldn’t lead us to UCL 2005 though. He was a bit lucky to have world class players around him all the time in Chelsea, while Gerrard had to play with bums like Jovanovic, Poulsen and Konchesky at some point.
My least favourite season as a Liverpool fan. This was just horrible. Would’ve been so much better had Sturridge been fit all season. I started to question Rodgers after the semi final against Villa, then wanted him out after Stoke.
If Hodgson stayed the whole season, then yes, it would have been the worst. But I was 10 when that happened and I obviously remember the 14/15 season more vividly.
Rodgers was possibly the greatest Liverpool manager ever. Definitely the best out of the current era. Had he not signed Coutinho, we never would have sold him, bought Van Dijk and Alisson and gone on to win the Premier and the Champions League. All our current success is due to the incredible Brendan Rodgers

It's so sad to see this as Stevie G's last season. It was a terrible end to a titan of a player in our clubs history. Born and bread Liverpool lad. Steven Gerrard one of the best. Hopefully he may one day get that Premier League winners medal he always wanted for us as a Manager. It would be very fitting. That would be my hope for him in the future. 🙏❤️

Bloody hell I hated almost everything about this season. From the signings to style of play to that very lazy kit. But the few good things were: - Henderson started being a real leader here on - Sterling showing his quality as a 19/20 year old by leading an inept attack (not that that would matter to us a year later) - Coutinho showing glimpses of his quality and knack for certain goals That’s about it really.

Tbf Lambert was only signed as an option when were struggling against low block teams, like Chelsea 13/14. Plus he had a decent season with Southampton before. Balotelli was a last dirt cheap desperate signing, after missing out on Sanchez we needed a striker.
To be fair Rodgers tried to bring in top players. Wiliam, Sanchez, Remy, Mkhitaryan ect ect but those guys wouldn't join . It's not like Rodgers intended Lambert and Balo to be replacements, they couldn't find the right player.
