Brood Lords used to be the counter to Thors (those and lings) couldn't get close enough. Eventually there were more Thors than we could count and GG. I dropped the ball though. After the initial base-raping we didn't continue to push. That lag in time is what gave them the opportunity. And I forgot to upgrade.

seriously though I learn a lot from these. I've often responded to mech with later tempest and found it just didn't work. The flanking with immortals along with speed prism does make sense.

so if i see 8+ tanks in terran army, can I still overwhelm him with mass archons/immortals or should i risk switching to air? And how many archons , as many as possible or is there a practical limit, they are bulky and short ranged...
About 5 archons is the limit really for exactly the reason you said, they're bulky large in supply and very expensive. Immortals you can have as many as you like really as long as you keep 15-20 or so chargelot. It's not about brute forcing, get a surround and take a good engagement. Give up a base if you think you really can't fight, and wait until the tanks unseige .Immortal zealot is good for flanking while the main army with archons comes in from front and takes tank fodder. Air transition is very risky as you have a large period of vulnerability, so stick to the archon immortal chargelot for midgame.
@@firestarter000001 no probs, and one other thing if you can multitask it is to have a prism somehwere on the map waiting to fly in once he's on your side of the map. If he's maxed, he either has to give up a base/bunch of workers or send army home. Anywhere between 2 and 8 zealots can have such a huge impact

Am I making sense or am I too far out of the game?

He's walking into an obvious trap. Is the concept of "high ground" a thing or does everyone just think it's a meme because of Obiwan?

Hey harstem I have a suggestion for BGMWSS. Follow brood war rules. Stuff like no warpgate only select 12 units at once and no rallying your probes to minerals. Also if you want for fun you can do mass zealot stalker to try to mimic mass zealot dragoon. Maybe even do collosus drops instead of reaver drops.
I actually learn something because you analyze Masters players unlike Winter who only gets Masters once in a blue moon. You also identify where things go wrong a lot cleaner

And dammit, if u decide to engange commit to it... not: try to engage, eat tank fire, pull back, kill nothing, then engage eat tank fire and pull back again. He stepped into tank range like 10 times and got afraid and pulled back without having achieved anything... that is NOT how its done. Try to engage when unsieged (u need vision for that) set up a flank/surround, decide if u can win the fight or not, and if u can commit! and go in and beat the sht out of this unflexible terran army. Its not that ur toss units are made out of paper they can handle some dmg but ofc not if u only dance back and forth in tank siege area, also stalkers are the units that handle tank dmg the worst just btw
Even if sieged, especialy on this map contesting the 4th base, there is a clear way to run around him with zealots. 10 zealots from the back can clean up 15 tanks easy, because the units that actualy can kill the zealots are needed on the frontline. He either has to fall back and lose half his army on the retreat or stay and fight and gamble I dont have enough to clear up his whole force. A sieged terran is impossible to break from the front, but very easy to break when surrounded. I once killed a 80 supply army of tank/thor with 15 zealots when I lost all of my army because I flanked well while he was trying to mop up my third and later won that game.
I don't think it's relevant to make an additional channel to cast games you can just add some kind of flair before your videos like [cast] or something like this, arrange your videos in playlists etc..
But I just watched Avilo (I think) play mech terran and according to him, mech terran has no chance to beat a protoss player. So.... I'm just saying. Everyone can't be right at the same time.
Avilo has made a career from being wrong about everything, starting with CnC3 vanilla like... 13 years ago. This if anything helps our Protoss boi's case that perhaps mech is indeed overpowered
