- Hello and welcome back to a puzzle to which 95% of people fail to solve until the end, so can you beat the odds and do it? It’s white to play and win. White is going up and black is going down, so there would be no confusion.

This is a study by Grigoriev, Shakhmaty 1923, included in the FIDE-Album III 1914-1944.
To behonest I didn't find all the moves, only the king move at 01:20 min, King to F5 though I didn't see the pattern. ( Im terrible at endgames ) I would have indeed captured the g-pawn. Last week I bought a book of Jesus de La Villa 100 endgame patterns you must know to practice the endgame. Great explanation of this marvelous puzzle & thnx for making this video. Cheers!
I am glad you found it useful! This is the tricky part with endgames and why it's important to study them because the most "natural" move to make, can be in some cases a blunder which would give our opponent the opportunity to draw the game
@@ChessCrafters-lk4dv thats very true indeed. Thank you for the advise. GM's say do every day puzzles for patern recognition. So far I fail to do that 😬
