    Hello, very good design, but I have a question because I didn't understand anything. After you put the last paint (black), how does the laser remove it and leave the colored paint on the picture underneath? Something is missing from the clip, I don't understand...

  • @sannyassi73
    @sannyassi73 7 місяців тому +1

    On the epoxy, did you just dip the coasters into a bowl of epoxy then set them out to dry? Or did you wipe/paint it on in some way? I'm curious as to how you applied the epoxy- that's the real question. Great vid!

      It does if I turn off the inline exhaust fan

  • @GokouZWAR

    So basically you layer paint up on the wood then etch the black paint off to reveal the colored paint below it. Nice. All that black paint dust tho, can’t be healthy to have that in the air…

    • @IronCladLaserCo
      @IronCladLaserCo  7 місяців тому +3

      You have to get the layers right and the settings so you can burn away just the right amount to reveal the layers under the layers and so on. I have an in-line exhaust fan that pulls it all out and I have a Wyze camera that’s mounted in there and we close the room off while it’s running and can watch from another room on the camera to make sure of fires, we also have the fire suppression system on our M1

  • @farmaforpresident8138
    @farmaforpresident8138 8 місяців тому

    Sorry, but I don't get it... Why does the laser only remove the top black coat?😅

    • @felixchu7656
      @felixchu7656 8 місяців тому +2

      It's all dependent on the power and speed of the laser. You would have to play around and determine the settings you need to take that black layer off. I have seen some videos where they put multiple layers of paint and increase the power at certain points to remove an extra layer, creating a similar effect.

    • @farmaforpresident8138
      @farmaforpresident8138 8 місяців тому

      Thanks man, I'll have to give it a try, It looks awesome

    • @IronCladLaserCo
      @IronCladLaserCo  7 місяців тому

      What felixchu said. There’s multiple layers of paint there, you can just kiss it enough to take off the black or you can hit it just right to get off a couple layers in certain spots, has everything to do with under standing your laser, image editing and paint layering.

    Great Idea! Thank you for this. Also Why aren’t you wearing a painters respirator? I’m a detailer and painter for Automotive, you need to protect your lungs dude. That’s not good.

      There were zero tiles in the video. If you watch the entire video it shows them spray painting wood squares with various colors (starting with white).

    Your FIRST coat should have been a PRIMER, so the other layers don't get absorbed into the wood. You may also want to mention to wear either a mask, OR Respirator when working with spray paint. Covering work that you don't want overspray to ruin, etc...

    • @theodoreburns1330
      @theodoreburns1330 7 місяців тому +4

      It isn't a spray paint tutorial lol, it is how to get cool laser results- and the results speak for themselves.

    • @IronCladLaserCo
      @IronCladLaserCo  7 місяців тому

      Uhm, that’s why I used the white. I explained that in the video. You don’t want to use a primer, you want the lightest color you can use as the base, thus the white as I explained in the video, the purpose of the white is to absorb into the wood and lay down a base so the other colors won’t get absorbed, which is exactly how it works out.

    • @chrisk926
      @chrisk926 7 місяців тому

      In the video, he shows the white being used for the FIRST coat(s) is an indoor/outdoor PAINT + PRIMER. Paint comes with instructions on how to properly use the product, what precautions to take using the product, and other information the end user can read themself as directions can change from one spray can to the next even if made by the same brand.
