    Hi, great interview. Gave me much insight to the path ahead in regards to my journey of becoming a reservist in the army. I am 56y old, physical to keep up with a 35y old and still beat them, good at learning first aid and all else. But age and wisdom might have a problem authority if at times out of place and will have to be constraint controlled during the course of the army process at camp. I look forward to the journey...

      Glad you enjoyed it. You won't really have a choice other than to learn to control yourself otherwise you will simply be kicked out of course

    Great podcast. I agree with keeping it to 3 weeks and then weekends for the others, to not target only uni students or government workers but everyone else that can’t take more than 3 weeks off/ with families etc. makes me want to rejoin again.
    Ps. he would be a punish to room with lol

    I do have a question, havent really found too much on this and I've seen some differing opinions but do recruits for the reserve course shower in the morning? Or is it, bed making, change into clothes, shave and thats it?

    Even if you come back after 5 years you don't do "Kapooka" again per se, you just live on Blamey barracks and they give you the timings for the things you need to go to, you're not living with a platoon

    Great video thank you. Im off to kapooka,on monday fulltime l. Keen but nervous 😄 thanks fkr the tips. Just a question. They show you hiw to make the beds? And also the agreement you said you have to memorise are u expected to know that before you go in or they teach u that also?

    • @outperformfitness
      @outperformfitness  2 місяці тому

      Good luck with it! They will show you how to make your bed but learning how to do a "hospital corner" before you leave will help. No you are no expected to know the agreement before you leave. Not all platoons do it either. From memory, I can't recall my platoon doing it

    good video. i'm in perth and currently at about half the requirement of the PFA (9 pushups of 15, 25 situps of 45, 4.5 beep of 7.5). is the program you are referring to the video an online or in person one? i am just too far to do anything in person over here. i'm trying to get in as a reserves armoured officer, currently waiting for my defence interview.

    hi, quick question, If I have a few allergies, can I still join?

    • @outperformfitness
      @outperformfitness  3 місяці тому

      that's a question better answered by recruiting but I would say that it'd be case by case with allergies

    If anyone knows how much we get time off per month or per year ? For example flying Back to Perth WA? Is worth it to keep renting your house back home or ?

    • @outperformfitness
      @outperformfitness  3 місяці тому

      Is this in regard to reserves or full time service?

    • @nikolan6366
      @nikolan6366 3 місяці тому

      Both

    • @outperformfitness
      @outperformfitness  3 місяці тому

      @nikolan6366 reserves you only do one night a week and the rest you work your normal job so you still need your regular home to live.
      Full time you will move to different locations so you will not keep renting the house you are in

    • @nikolan6366

      Hi thanks for that I was meant to say for example my current house I’m renting in Perth WA and if I’m working in NSW or another state , as a full time
      Best idea is to cancel the rental contract once I’m in ADF or?
