- An impromptu effort at this cute little old Roy Smeck tune. Just filmed on the iPhone - lighting was poor so I made it B/W, but the sound isn't too bad...
Uke: 1933 Martin style 1.

Update on my last comment: Just had a class with Andy himself so soon I’ll be playing this song as good as he is! woop woop!
Brilliant! Before there were Guitar Gods in popular culture, there was and always will be Roy Smeck. Thanks Andy - Masterful playing.
Andy Eastwood is the best uke player in the world...........it's that simple!
Cheers ;-)
Sorry your wrong. The Universe 😂
Mr. Eastwood that is beautiful I wish I could play 1/2 as well. You are an inspiration to me.
By far the best version!
Phenomenal. I've lost count of the number of times i've listened to this. 👌. That old Martin is about the finest sounding soprano i've heard. Thanks!
Thanks!! :-)
Ilove it

How beautiful is your playing and the Martin vintage uke😍
Great interpretation! And wonderful to get a chance to hear a vintage Martin in D tuning 😎
One of the nicest pieces of music ever is the Magic Ukulele Waltz along with whoever's version of it is (as long as it is not appalling and dreadful :P but yours is nowhere near, so well done! :) )
Fantastic performance
Well done - great playing!
What a great number would love to master this tune, one day.
Well, that was nice. Thanks for sharing that lovely waltz. I enjoyed that very much.

Thank you and I thought how much of what he said would resonate with your experiences and views expressed in both recent articles in th Uke mag!

Can't wait! See you there.......
i watched a vid of roy smeck, doing a figure 8 strum on uke lol

Very nice! I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers!
Haha thanks! I don't get time to make many videos tbh!
super interprétation je bosse pour faire au moins pire j'ai supprimé des passages chiants c'est un super morceaux de uku je sais pas comment partager mais j'ai édité la tab
Nice and snappy, chappy!
Cheers Remco - I was at Bracklesham Bay last night doing a cabaret. They have our posters up for the September festival :-D
Awesome song
someone has to be the best and I guess it is you
Very kind thanks!
That was great! However, I’m curious: what’s up with the different strings? Honestly, I’m super curious.
I find most of the manufactured sets a bit heavy for a delicate old uke like this Martin! So I mix and match....
Great little tune Andy. I'd like to try this on my sopranino can you please tell me the tuning that you are using, it doesn't sound like GCEA?
It's A D F# B - gives a nice bright sound.
What is your string combination???
Aquila & Galli
Hi Andy...what strings are you using????????
Aquila and Galli!
@@AndyEastwoodUK Which type of Galli strings are you mixing with the Aquilas?
fabulous, linked it on our new homepage: ukebase.de, thanks !
Great thank you!! :-)
GRRRRR It's eating me up, what's that last chord you did at the end there? I'm trying to get the same sound out of the end of it, but I just can't. All I can tell is the A string (bottom string) is on the tenth fret.... :/
Haha 😄 it's 5 0 0 10 (Uke tuned in D)
Thankyou so much! :D Works perfect, thanks again! (Mind, I can only do the first and second bit, but it works great at the end!)
Is this the version: ua-cam.com/video/zZw-F8m6OJA/v-deo.html
Yeah I have that LP somewhere! I think he recorded 2 versions in fact.
I have been watching your William Tell Overture and Moonlight Serenade vids for years. Love your playing and enthusiasm. Why do you only have 1K subscribers? Didn't know you had a channel. I subscribed, but then I saw it said 1001 subs. Did I ruin something?
Haha! Thanks... I guess I should make more videos...! :-)
You can say that again!!! Thanks for the reply!!
