- (Artist Biography by Stansted Montfichet) Virtual unknowns in the rock pantheon, this San Francisco Bay-area quartet cut only one record -- the single "Waiting for You" b/w "Such a Fool" (Belfast 67-1001, 1967) -- yet demonstrated a melodic sophistication rivaled by few contemporaries. The Baytovens consisted of brothers Jon and Rich Green (lead and bass guitar, respectively), Carl DePolo (drums) and Dwight Pitcaithley (rhythm guitar). Finalists at the Cow Palace Band Bash on April 5, 1966, the group was also featured at a Paul Revere And The Raiders gig at the Oakland Auditorium that same month, as well as a KFRC-sponsored show at the College of San Mateo on October 15th. An L.A. recording session followed, and in February 1967 the aforementioned tracks made their debut. Pitcaithley's "Waiting for You" owes more than a passing nod to a certain Fab Foursome, while "Such a Fool" (graced by haunting minor-key arpeggios) tips its hat to The Beau Brummels. ( (San Leandro, California). It's the truth and it’s no lie
what they say about me, I can't deny
‘Cuz you and I know it’s true
i've got a house
i've got a house
Well they say that time means nothing to me
just one look at my house and you will see that
I’m a righteous man
in my house
in my house
well if you want to see my house knock on my door
well if you like my house, i'll show you more
Cause There’s no place like this
in my house
in my house
if you want a little lovin come to my house
well if you want a little lovin baby
come to my house
Cause I’m a righteous man
in my house
in my house
in my house
in my house
in my house (Luisfuzz).
Arguably the greatest song ever written a full on groover

Wish they had stayed together longer. Their other single, both sides, is great. Great songwriters and great vocals and the instrumentation is as solid as any at that time.
GREAT RECORD, THOUGHTFUL REVIEW. CREDIT ALSO GOES TO THEIR VISIONARY MANAGER / WRANGLER, LARRY WHITE.
quite good!
