Now you tell me! When I replaced my switches and started up the vehicle, I sat in the driver's seat. I had the other steps correct so the air bag didn't plow into me, Thank the Lord! Thanks for posting!
Dora is beautiful!! I love your videos. I'll be referring to them a lot when I work on my ST. If you don't mind me asking. Would you be ok with sharing the specs of your lift, tires, and wheels?
Dora is currently running Mastercraft MXTs 31x10.5x15s on some Pro Comp steel rims. These tires are great offroad, but I have had trouble with them not staying balanced for highway use. The suspension is stock, but I believe a previous owner installed a 3-inch body lift at some point. Planning on some bigger tires and suspension upgrades in the future!
@@SoloRoosterGarage Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it. I also plan on installing a leveling kit and add bigger 32" tires. I love the stance of Dora. If you don't mind me asking, what's the offset of your pro comp wheels?
@@SoloRoosterGarage Beautiful!! Last question I promise. Do you have any wheel spacers on? The reason I ask is because I'm looking for a similar stance.
Your steering wheel airbag probably isn't installed properly. A wire may have been pinched or the airbag unit is compressed, activating the horn switch.
The airbag needs to be connected and installed properly. When the air bag is disconnected, the Sport Trac thinks the air bag has deployed and activates the horn as a warning/call for help.

Just came across your video today had to do the same switches on my brother's truck everything went good thank you for the video
I knew it wasn't necessary to pull the steering wheel! Thanks!
That was an absolutely perfect explanation. Thank you so much for posting. Excellent job
Excellent job. I am going to do this myself on my 1997 Ford Explorer! Thanks for the "how to!"
Thanks! Pretty good instructions. I felt confident in doing this myself
Thank you.. so simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would trax parts fit the explore sport?
The majority of parts from the Sport Trac cab forward should be swappable with an Explorer Sport.

According to the spec sheet when I ordered them, they are15x8s with a -19.05mm offset with a 3.75in backspace.
