    Amazing guide, the best Ive found anywhere. Not uselessly short, not overly long. this should serve as a format for others making guides on characters, Amazing work man.

    • @SaladSomeone
      @SaladSomeone 5 років тому

      The best guide is watching knee vs mr naps.
      And most of the combos arent max damage, for example the qcb 4 combo could be better if you use qcb4 1+2 d/b 2 3,4,3 b 3 f 2,1
      Or qcb4 1+2 d/b 2 1 b 2,4 dash b3 f 4,1,2
      And snake edge could also be better, a pretty easy one is
      d/f 3 crouch d/f 4 u/f 3,2,b3 f 4,2,1
      . And for wall combos b 3 f 3,4 and df 2,1 db 1+2 both work, not sure wich one one does more damage though

  • @RuiGomes43
    @RuiGomes43 6 років тому +9

    Hey, I got into Bryan because of your guide, it's really good and very well thought.
    Just wanted to say that for the qcb + 4 combo you can do QCB + 4; 1 + 2; d/b + 2; 4, 3, 4 (uncharged); dash; b + 3, F; 2, 1 and use that as your Bread&Butter.
    The timing is very lenient which makes it very easy to do and you get 66 damage out of it, which is the same as the Jet Upper bread&butter combo.
    You can also charge the last 4 in the 4, 3, 4 String, but I found it to be very hard to time it properly, although you can squeze 5 damage out of it, upping the total damage from 66 to 71, but I wouldn't recommend.
    It won't work on Jack or Gigas tho.

  • @TheSLashera
    @TheSLashera 2 роки тому +1

    Damn. This shit is gold! That's how you make a character guide. Don't mean to disrespect anybody's work and efforts, but mostly all other similar videos just show you the combo and give you the inputs without much explanation or even notation of the moves. Which is not ideal to say the least for beginner players.

      a guy who doesn't have a life me too for beginners like me he is really hard to play bcos he doesnt have any panic moves n can get very hard time when pressured

    • @brichardson342
      @brichardson342 6 років тому

      U need goood defense while blocking and punish to make ur opponent hesitate because on counter hit he does massive damage ,he’s for people who like well rounded situational moves and has a emphasis on defense , for me he’s how I play in general I’m always poking to frustrate but I always stay in mid range playing keep out as well but if the guys aggressive my def is above average and I block most things and punish when I see a mistake , if ur trying to rush down with Bryan he’s not the character to use because when u get to higher ranks he will get punished or out poked if u do too much without knowing what ur doing to stay safe people like him because of his damage but they usually do periodical moves witch means there just going through the list of moves just to apply pressure which is bad I’ve also seen low rankers just constantly throwing orbital , snake and b2 constantly without thinking they get side stepped and launched easily but there just too new to understand movement is everything and can increase ur evasiveness defense and offense without it ur just begging to get punished and baited

    Great video. Bryan has been my favorite character since Tekken 3 and the only thing I would add to this video would be for at the end of any combo throw in a bb4 for range damage that hits high all the way to ground but finishes with you on the ground but that shouldn’t be a problem with a skilled player. There’s a few other things but it’s mostly preference and play style based.

  • @takohma1056
    @takohma1056 6 років тому +2

    This was perfectly done. Only thing I would have done different, well added instead of different. Is to show punishes for each character’s common moves. Like just 2 staple moves from each character and how to punish. Not taking away from you the video is amazing. You got a sub here now. I’ll be checking for more vids. Thanks!!!

    For a wall combo df2,1 df1,1,2 deals a little bit more damage than the traditional f3~f 3,4. As the former option guarantees 16 points of damage in the form of 60% scaled hits, whereas the latter only guarantees 15 point of damage.

    For those who can't hit (QCF 1+2) after the Rage Drive ender in combos. Try (UF4) it's very reliable in clutch situations if you don't wanna risk it missing your (QCF 1+2). You sacrifice a bit of damage for it tho.

    Hey Great video i just have some pointers regarding some combos & fishermans slam on kuma since i have messed around with Bryan alot in traning, the first part of Fishermans slam work on kuma (b 2,1,4 dash & do B +3 press forward instantly & press 1+2 fight away for the elbow strike = 82 dmg, you can also hit bears with the 3+4 counter hit if you do ff +3 WITHOUT fully charging it then its: 3+4, dash b+3~f 3,4 f,f2 70 dmg (76 dmg for fully charg ff 3 on normal characters)
    also the very best back turned combo i found was: 3,3,2 F 1+2 ,1,2,4 dash then chose either: db 1+2 OR b+3 F 1+2 as a finisher they both make the same end results of 86 dmg, works very well on opponents that have large attacks that track better at one direction like dragunovs runing 2 side stepp it to get to his back and boom, or noctis large swords attacks if timed correctly its gg wp.

    I hope this gets seen.. There is literally 0 in depth guides for Bryan on the internet (at least I have found none). I see you did a complete breakdown of Steve, is there any chance that you could collaborate with Mr. naps and pick his brain for a complete breakdown of Bryan? Thanks..

    Hey man, I was wondering if you have a schedule set in stone for all the characters you're gonna do, or a general timetable for when you might release future guides? This guide was really good, and I would really like to see your Hwoarang Essentials guide. Will that come sometime soon?

      Cheers! Yes we have an approximate idea of the next couple of characters. King, Lee, Steve, Claudio being penciled in as the next 4, with Geese a top priority as soon as he's out.
      We're getting so many requests for Hwoarang though, so we're working on writing the script right now to get it out asap. Hopefully December. He is a very challenging character to summarize in 20 minutes though, so it is taking some time.

    Amazing Video, Im a extremely casual tekken player (since 2... I believe..its been a long time)
    And Brian is one of my favorite characters to play next to King and hwoarang.
    My question is are you also going to make a hwoarang essentials? I saw that King is one of the 3 thats going to come up in near future.
    Other than that, keep up the amazing work, this couldn't be more informative.

    Hi im a staple Bryan player and i saw your guide and i must say its really good overall and of course the changes from season 3 is not in the vid seeing as it was made before that
    but i wonder why his forward 1+2 is not in the vid as his top moves?
    its plus on block and gives you a free QCB 4 on hit

    Only fighting game I really liked was tekken. Played alot tekken 3 and TAG at friends houses. I played alot of Bryan actually. Never learnt anything really advanced but I utilized 7-8 more basic moves and timed it well by reading opponents and circling around utilizing them in different situations :p
    Could someone explain what numbers hes talking about? "Minus 10" "frames" etc etc? Im a total beginner, would be fun to atleat understand the theory about the things he mentions. I honestly get an urge to buy tekken. It was such a long time ago, and I always respected tekken as one of the most serious fighting games!

      koettfaers it's called frame data, and it's not just in tekken. It's probably the most important thing you can learn for fighting games. I don't know how to explain it to you, but there is many sources that can teach you. If this isn't too much already, I recommend looking into something called the "neutral game", as this is very important as well.
