My family migrated to the US from South East Asia shortly after the Vietnam War ended. When we first got here we were put to reside in Philadelphia. We suffer greatly due to the racist African Americans. They would rob us. Beat us. Throw rocks and stone at our cars and windows breaking them. It got so bad for us that the city officials moved us to the city of Chicago were they thought it would be more safe. When we got there things didn't change for the better. We suffered the same mistreatment by the African American community. They robbed and mugged us. Break into our homes and cars. Beat us up. To this day some of the Asian elders from South East Asia still have nightmares about it. And so to see all these African Americans from Chicago to be so afraid of refugees and migrants from Mexico coming to live in their neighborhoods and communities is ... 😂 When I think about the situation, I often think about moments like playing at the playground. Because as a kid/child, it was fun playing with all kids of different color and shades. When there are no ignorant adults around trying to influence who we can't and can play with, everything was fun and peaceful. If life was like a playground where we all can play in peace and having fun together, humanity would be in a much better shape.

They have always been like that to Mexicans too but when we speak up no one listens and then people think that only black people get mistreated. If it’s not a white person being racist then it’s a black person.
