Absolutely, that's why we went there. Even with all those people digging there's a lot of consistent gold left. Each winter that place gets replenished to an extent.
Experience definitely helps. I do quite a few test pans and the poor ones don't normally make the cut. Unless I'm struggling to find something. Lol They key is don't fill your bucket until you find a good test pan.
@@prospectingforadventure ya. I honestly just find what I think might be a decent spot and start digging, classifying, then running through the sluice. I definitely think I need to start doing test pans before I just commit to one spot for most the day
You should be fine. The hands and pans areas are classified as wild and senic corridors. You can always look up your local prospecting store and have a conversation with them.
Was great to meet you, good times for sure!
Same here and thanks for the first blood pocket picker!
It was great to see you out there! I got an exciting amount of gold and a lot of garnets.
I forgot about the garnets. I found one that was quite a bit larger than the others. Always a cool bonus!
Awesome y'all!!!
Thank you!
Looked like an awesome get together. I wish I could have made it! Great video and way cool family time!
It was and hopefully we'll have another!
Right on man, I wish I would have went to this. This looked like fun, great job on the gold.
It went surprisingly well. Lol What a great spot to do something like that. Everyone had such a good time I think we'll be doing it again.
@@prospectingforadventure , count me in on the next one. I’m just down I5 a few hours or less 👌
Nice video! I just bought the hand dredge machine waiting for it to be delivered
Awesome! It takes some finesse to use it well. I use it in a number of my other videos.
Wow you did great! Wish I lived out that way!
Still a 4 hour drive for me. Wish I lived closer! Lol Such a good spot for family prospecting.
Good video sir! Hopefully I can make it to the next outing, looks fun!
Thank you! Yeah, don't miss the next one!
Great video brother good to meet you out there
Awesome meeting you as well! Hopefully we'll get another chance this summer.
Yeah that would be great
We were just getting on our way down to the meet up and my buddy's truck blew a head gasket! Bummed we missed out, but we'll be at the next one.
Oh man that socks! I'm sure there will be another!
Looks like a good time was had. Is there any gold left?
Absolutely, that's why we went there. Even with all those people digging there's a lot of consistent gold left. Each winter that place gets replenished to an extent.
WOW there is no water already. Looks fun tho.
Went up a bit after this. Definitely low when we went.
@@prospectingforadventure Ya, this summer might really suck. I just watched your new short, looking good ( :
Your test pan is better than what I get in a whole bucket. You must sniff that gold out or I'm just not looking in the rite spots

You'll definitely see better results testing.
Where exactly on the south Umpqua did they have this event
Is that a private claim or is there public land availability?
That's public land.
@@prospectingforadventure thank you! Been watching your videos and have enjoyed them very much!
Thank you! It makes me happy hearing people enjoy them!
Where do I sign up? Please.
For what?
Do you need a permit to sluice in Oregon?
No, but some areas are hands and pans only. There are pretty strict limitations for motorized prospecting.
@@prospectingforadventure I really want to get into it but the regulations are confusing and strict. I just want to sluice local creeks

lol,
May I ask what's funny?
