Wow, I appreciate that compliment. I definitely will continue underwater work. Being underwater is so much fun. If you don't mind, give the video a share if you have prospecting friends. Thanks for watching!
I spent my first 35 years up foots creek, we had several hard rock mines and did alot of placer mining in the creek. There are spots in that creek where youll find pounds of dumped mercury, probably why i have neuralogic damage now at 51. Cool video glad i stumbled on to ya ( : Subbed
I'll have to look it up on a map. Just for curiosities sake. I'm not super familiar with area. Thanks for watching. Hopefully I'll have more posted soon.
Nice gold you got there and it sure seemed like you got more than what your scale said. Those last few pieces didnt even move the scale and it should have! Thanks for getting out there!!
I agree, I might need a new scale. Except I weighed it on my manual scale I use for reloading. The weight by grains matched on both scales. I thought it was odd.
Nice bro! I love SW Oregon so much. My good buddies live there and I was fortunate enough to really have a good time thanks to them. Beautiful claim, I'm sure there is some chunky gold somewhere around there!
present friends, work that I really like, good luck and success in getting gold in this world by using the best Dredging greetings from your best friend, traditional Indonesian gold seeker🇺🇸🇮🇩⚒️⛏️👍👍👍
Hey friend, after you suck out all of that material in any area, are you going back behind with a crevicing tool to scrape away any hard pack? The dredge will only suck up so much. I've learned that after dredging an area clean, to go back and scrape the living crap out of that area and chip away loose layers of bedrock, and have found pickers and nuggets trapped in hardpack in the crevice. Love the videos man and thanks for the content.
I beat the living snot out of bedrock. Lol I'd say I get most my gold that way. That scene where I'm using a pick I'm tearing up bedrock. The bedrock in that spot pulls apart fairly easy. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
Do it! Lots of places to explore. Join a club depending on where you live. Some of the public areas still produce if you think outside the box. Good luck!
great video i believe the dredge box is to steep i would check your tailings i run my box almost flat and get lots of fines there were almost none in the pan test test test
Thanks I appreciate that. I tried running close to flat. I didn't have enough water flow, the box was plugging up. I tested the lower portion of the box multiple times and never saw any colors in it. Definitely wasn't perfect, but it was the best I could do with what I had. I mighty need to upgrade the 5.5hp motor to a 6.5hp.
Nice job and gold you will do good each time you learn more about the area you are working creek and the land great job on the video just joined your channel l am a gold prospecter also But my nemesis is Glacial Gold which is all across Iowa well have a good one out for now ⛏⛏⛏⛏⛏⛏😀😀🍺🍺

@@jefffleming8103 especially when you do this solo all the time! Lol I haul most the equipment out each night too. Wish I didn't have to worry about theft.
I say, just because something is in the watershed doesn't mean it's completely closed to dredging. There are NON-ESH waterways that eventually end up in the Rogue River. These streams are above dams, or some other barrier that prevents fish migration from the ocean or larger rivers.
It's a honda 5hp 160cc. Probably under powered for the 4 inch. Atleast with the air compressor on it. Keene p-180 pump. That's why I had a steeper angle on the box. I have a Brigs and Stratton 5hp 206cc without an air compressor that I'll be trying in a couple weeks.
nice pic, I had the same one from armadillo in GP, total rip off on the price butt a good mining pick. please my friend get some excitement in your voice, your killing me. : )
Lol I'll work on that for sure. It's painful doing these videos, its out of my wheelhouse personality wise. That pick is a little over priced. Definitely like using it though.
The best way to avoid private claims is to join a club or look online for a public panning area. The only way to know for sure is if you go to the counties recording office and ask them to look up a specific stretch of river. There's a couple sites online that list claims, but they aren't always accurate.
Looking at your setup I think you might be blowing gold out the back end. The pressure needed to suck up that hose then hits your very small high banker. You need a longer trap set up and lower your angle a bit. Always always check your railings plunge hole to test if you are blowing gold out. I could hear your disappointment in your voice, it's not the creak or how hard you worked. It's your ability to trap the gold in your small set up.
It's possible. I did test my tailings and didn't find anything. I also tested by box in segments to check for gold migration. 90% of my gold was always up top in my box. I plan on making adjustments for sure. I appreciate the advice.
Any lower of an angle and my box wasn't clearing. I don't think my pump was pumping the volume of water I needed or the rifles are too close in the box. I picked up a motor that's 46cc more powerful. I'm hoping that will allow me to run at the proper angle.
Did you like this video? Please thank me by SUBSCRIBING. I plan on releasing more videos shortly. Thank you!
Thanks for the video! Great closeups on the dredging.
Thanks, I wish those gopros focused better up close. Lol It was a little rough on the eyes editing. Glad it turned out OK.

Motion detectors and a dog 🐕 👌 I guess the cabin is a ways away
@@jefffleming8103 it's Southern Oregon, the cabin could be on the dredge and there's still a risk someone will steal your stuff. Lol
Private claim or not, as of 2017 the Rogue River is part of the salmon protection plan, and dredging is illegal.
What say you?
I say, just because something is in the watershed doesn't mean it's completely closed to dredging. There are NON-ESH waterways that eventually end up in the Rogue River. These streams are above dams, or some other barrier that prevents fish migration from the ocean or larger rivers.

Have you though maybe you might detecting platinum?
No that never crossed my mind. I've had similar experiences with serpentine bedrock in other locations. I honestly haven't researched into it yet.

ahh, try using your metal detector to find the pay streak, just a thought my friend.
I need to give that a try for sure. Most the places I hit the gold is down on bedrock and doesn't run in paystreaks.

Dredging and Oregon is illegal. How are you dredging without getting in trouble?
Because it's not 100% banned. There's a process to do it legally in streams without salmon and steelhead runs.
Fun time
Most certainly! Thanks for watching.
Nice :)

You need a better scale ⚖️
I thought the same thing, but I bought another scale and they both read the same. Even put calibration weights on.
your scale is way off too my brother. : ( calibrate it.
Unfortunately it's not off. Wish it was more gold. I have two scales and calibration weights.
