Thanks for sacrificing your nervous system for are entertainment. Yesterday when I saw you "Ride the Lightning" I couldn't help but laugh when I saw what was coming. We've all been there done that but seldom get it on video. Great work Jess!
Nice. That little ol’ motor sounds pretty strong! I’m old enough to remember when those cars were new and pretty much everywhere. Always liked them. Also, I was half expecting you to(like I’d do) accidentally kick that toolbox(in front of the car) with your sore toe. Glad you avoided that. 😅
@smittysmat7826 🤣🤣 I was very careful where I put that toe! I always liked these too there was a import magazine for classic jdm cars when I was a kid I would buy it and look through and read about the little jdm cars, the early celica always appealed to me the looks mostly
I know of a 77 GT with an automatic one owner. May go ask about it. I liked your expression after it lit you up. Good job getting it up and going again.
My first car was my Dad's 1981 Toyota Celica GT Liftback. A little 5 speed manual in bright yellow, black ground effects, and black and gray interior. The cool feature with that care was it had no antennae, instead it was embedded in the windshield. It was to this day the best car I ever owned. Never broke down, everything worked in it, and it always started first crank every single time. Even with 188,000 miles on it. Sadly, it got rear ended and totaled. I wanted to keep it and try to fix it, but there was just too much damage and it wasn't worth a lot at the time.
@eduardopena5893 awe man bummer it got totaled 😕 this has around 71k original miles it sat since 04 but it's about to be my new little get around car! I've wanted one for a long time but there so hard to find nowadays I got lucky when I found this
@@rockatanskyrodshop8533 I've only seen one other '81 Celica on the road when I owned mine, and it was in Baltimore City when I lived there for a short time. What really sucked is that car was given to me by my Dad, it was his favorite car, as my High School Graduation present, and it got rear ended two weeks after that and totaled. I've seen only one first gen body style one back in the 90's when one of my neighbors rented a car and that's what he got. My brother in law has a '79 version of my car. It looked sort of similar, so he bought my '81 off of me for parts for his as most of them fit. I was so sad to see that car go.
Outstanding definitely enjoyed it full view and lk 👍
@stormcloud3027 thanks for watching 👀! Stay tuned more on the way 😉

The bulletproof 22R engine. Same engine I had in my '81 GT Liftback. Loved that great little car.
Best music on u tube. Engine sounds tight.
