Finally decided to actually play this game instead of dicking around in flotsam and getting annoyed by how long that part of the game is. Been looking forward to this part, where saskia comes into play. Got there today, so excited to actually play it tomorrow. Been wanting to play this part for many, many yrs. Im so glad i finally gave it a shot, this game is great. It plays awkwardly on xbox but its still great.
I played all three Witcher franchises last month and played all games in the order of release. While TW1 is kinda poorly designed but still has a decent heart and an amazing OST and TW3 is a masterpiece. TW2 gives two different perspectives of being a Witcher (with Roche and Iorweth).
I think this TW2 has a better main story than TW3, honestly TW3 even butchered some of the story lines from the second game which is why I think it's a great game but mediocre sequel.
Ye, the witcher games don’t really feel like sequels to each other at times because of how different they are to each other. But the witcher 2 is more connected to the witcher 1. Unlike the witcher 3 which doesn’t seem that connected to the witcher 2.
@@Apollo-tnt I pretty much agree, TW2 did feel like a direct sequel to the TW2 and it was originally intended to be one. The only storyline (that I know of) that it really butchered was if you romanced Shani in TW1 and imported a save after which a journal entry was added and said Geralt and Shani broke up so he got on with Triss which was only added after the enhanced edition. TW3 was intended to be more accessible for new players and lets be real, most Witcher players started from the 3rd game. Which is why they ignored the vast majority of TW2 events and to also make it easier to understand who the characters are. Another example that I could think of is KOTOR and SWTOR. Tbf, SWTOR isn't a sequel to the KOTOR games but it did really butcher the storylines it tried to continue from those games.

It's a great game but the combat is wonky tho.

Ye, a similar thing happened in TW1 Siegfried and Yaevinn.
@@Apollo-tnt yup but Roche and Iorveth feel much more "alive" characters if you know what I mean. To summarize all three games are special.
@@aumpauskar4653 Yes, Roche and Iorveth do feel more like real character and they are better.
