Pinky and the Brain here are probably the hardest base game boss

People talk about the black knight halberd... When great scythe exists. It has better damage, faster attack speed, slightly greater range, better scaling and is infuseable. Sure, it doesent have as much swag as the BKH's Guan Dao style, but it still makes a great Grim Reaper cosplay.

Ceaseless Discharge has an even easier strat. If you run back to the fog gate after aggroing him (specifically by looting the outfit next to him), he'll try to jump at you to get you, fail, and hang off the cliff near the fog. You can then just hit him a bit until he loses grip and voila.

4:06 you actually can slide down ladders in ds 1, you just have to stop moving and then press the same button you use to roll and sprint (it’s A on the switch but idk if it’s the same on other controllers)

DS1 was one of my favorite games, It was mid 2012, I just moved into an apartment with my girlfriend at the time, Best friend got the Xbox 360 Elite in 2011,and gave me his OG 360 and COD so I could play with them, DS1 prepare to die came out, His cousin had it, couldn't beat it and game it to him, and he called me and said "BRO you gotta get this game" We spent the next year of our life doing stupid Co-op shit in DS1, Started "speed running" against each other... It is the reason I love FromSoft and to this day every time they release a new game (outside of Sekrio and Blood born, I beat both but he wasn't a PlayStation guy, my girlfriend has a PS3 I used) No matter what, we both get the game and play it. We got older and grew apart, but when Elden ring dropped he called me and told me To get on my computer, he had bought the game for me via Steam and we Co-oped the game in steps, We would each have a week to play solo, Saturday we would hook up and make a plan and run though the game. Sorry about the rant, but I am glad you are having fun!

One quick advise, you maybe should upgrade your weapon to plus ten, to do it you must give the large ember to Andre and large titanite shard, to go there in a instant you can jump to the other of that small broken bridge in sen's fortress, there will be a guy that thinks you're garbage there, ignore him and go down the stairs You'll find a snake, kill him and get a key that's laying on the floor, then go back the way you came from there will be two cages and these are actually elevators that make you go all the way down in an instant. To farm for the Large titanite you can kill that big dude with a big shield and a mace over and over again in sen's fortress, he drops large titanite shards, you need 9 for a +10 weapon. Hope this helps and don't you dare go hollow.😁

Btw two-handing any weapon will multiply your strenght score by 1.5x. That way weapons that scale with strenght will do more damage and you can even use weapons in two hands, if your strenght score would be too low to one hand them. In example you could use a Zweihander with only 16 strenght if you two hand it.

tail cuts are a thing in ds 1, and a feature that is sorely missed in future ds titles. here, you can get unique weapons from the tail cut on any bosses that have it. strongly suggest going for the tail cut on the gaping dragon in the depths. it makes the fight a bit easier if you can remove its ability to tail slam.

for the ghosts you need a special consumable item called transient curses (dont worry, the ghosts will drop that consumable, or you can buy them from a npc) or you can be cursed to hit them or you can use a cursed item to hit them Ghost Blade, Jagged Ghost Blade or Greatsword of Artorias
