HB industries is by far the most professional and the best company out here in arizona!! QUALITY IS BETTER THEN QUANTITY!! I just ordered my czbren2 stock. 🎉🎉🎉
These guys set the standard for what quality and customer service is supposed to be. I love HB Industries. I do need a factory Bren 2 stock to go with the mag conversion. 😏😘
You guys make excellent equipment! I bought an acr stock, adapter, gear worx brace and acr brace adapter from you guys all the have been exceptionally well made. I finally received my form one and completed the SBR. It's a super nice set up. Also, any one know who supplies CZ with the flip up night sights for our BREN 2MS? I really like them and would love to have another set.
I’m glad you made this video, I’m thinking about buying a Bren2 pistol nice looking pistol. I also like the fact that you can fire it with the stock folded or no stock.
Yes, in order to remove the recoil assembly and bolt the stock adapter needs to be removed... 1 screw. The trade off is that your stock fitment to the upper receiver will always be tight (no wobble).
We machined a few of these blocks for our gunsmiths/assembly techs at HBI, it would probably be prohibitively expensive for us to make/sell them (solid delrin), but... if you don't have one already, these are a great alternative for less than $20: www.realavid.com/product/smart-bench-block/
Its not always as easy as it looks... Some pointers might be to triple check that the bolt is in battery/fully locked, make sure the recoil spring assembly is fully seated into the back of the bolt, and then try to gently "wiggle" the stock adapter up the receiver until it passes the recoil spring/buffer bad. There is an angle/large chamfer machined into the backside of our stock adapters that should help push the buffer pad forward and compress the spring out of the way while you push the stock adapter upwards to seat it. However, pushing more gently during this step sometimes makes things easier than if you push hard and try to force the adapter into place.
I noticed you guys are doing gas port drilling for the 3rd position. I did mine already but I screwed up and made the hole too big. Would it be possible to get you guys to drill a hole on a different spot. I just need to grind down a small part so I can turn valve to the opposite side of the valve. I already bought the spring but I use a suppressor so I need the hole drilled. Thanks for all the stuff you guys do for the Bren 2. I really love the trigger shoe.
Yes, all known G36 stocks and braces are compatible with our adapter; including the 4 position G36 and confusingly expensive fully adjustable IDZ G36 pattern stocks.
Is there any play at the stock latch? I have an OEM folding stock and it wobbles still, drives me nuts! Looking to get one of these if the stock doesn’t wobble at the latch.
@@hb_industries I ordered one, excited to see it. Thanks for the reply! My factory CZ carbine stock had wiggle to it and drove me nuts. I prefer the look of this setup anyways.
What most people dont realize is that once you put this stock on the rifle, you have to unscrew the screw that retains the stock EVERY single time you clean the rifle or need to remove anything in the upper half of the rifle. The screw will strip out after just a few removals/installs. Also, the half moon shaped button that needs to be depressed when folding the stock is a weak point & mine now has large chips of plastic missing. I’ve owned the stock for less than 3 months. The button should be made out of aluminum at least & having to remove the retaining screw in the field or under fire would be extremely time consuming & is a major flaw in the design in my opinion. HBI usually makes great accessories but this stock is not one of them unfortunately. If you want a stock, buy the OEM one from CZ. Only way to go. Just my experience, maybe others have had a different one. Idk. I’m going to contact HBI for a refund on my mine & will update here afterwards.
Our G36 setup is about 14.25" LOP, which is obviously a bit longer than 12". The factory stock fully collapsed is about 12-12.5" (depending on which stock variant you have). If you have an adjustable stock on there right now, even if AR buffer type, you might try pulling it back one notch and see how it feels? That might help to simulate the 14.25" LOP for you? If you are comfortable at 12" our vote would be to stay with stocks that meet that requirement. Setup is really a personal preference, always do what feels best to you.
Yes, the sling hoop plate on the receiver must be removed/replaced with our delete plate. The factory sling hoop prevents the G36 stock from folding flush with the receiver. (On the plus side, the QD sockets on the receiver are unobstructed; several of us here are running G36 stock with QD sling in the rear receiver mount)
@@ShawnGS300 The laws on braces seem to change with time, and we are not qualified to answer your question. Our advice would be to know and understand all applicable laws any time you choose to install or use a brace on a pistol.
Imagine an adapter for an AKM wood stock. LOL. But it would look cool, despite not being able to fold. Maybe an AKS-74 stock then? It folds to the left though.
Would have been nice to show the whole entire gun with a mag inserted to see the overall look achievement. I feel like I waisted my time looking at this to not see any end result but the stock itself which in such case you could have just shown the stock without any gun on screen and say hey this fits into the CZ Bren2. This type stuff erk the hell out of me when I see review videos like this. Again this was a waist.
Am literally buying a Bren 2 because of this stock... Might take a couple months to save up but it's never stopped me before. Bren 2 here I come.
Me too
I love these hbi install videos makes super easy to install everything they sell lol
I got mine about 2 weeks ago and I LOVE IT HB industries did a GREAT JOB with the Adapter Plate that has ZERO play in the Receiver and Stock!
Bro you guys are killing it with these upgrades, love your Scorpion upgrades, and im hoping to trade both my AR's for a Bren2!

Sincere thank you from all of us at HBI for the kind words
How much longer is the G36 stock compare to an original Bren 2 stock collapsed and all the way extended
We measure the LOP using factory "waffle" style stock at 12" collapsed and 13.75" extended. We measure the LOP of our G36C stock at 13.63".

Damn I just bought a pic adapter and a sig stock! Definitely would’ve snagged one of these!
Out of curiosity, what are the advantages in this modification?
Or is it mainly about anesthetics?
My SCAR 15Pwould look amazing with your adapter and G36 stock. Just a thought. 🤞🏽
Wait, so the sling delete screws in thru the stock adapter? So do you need to unscrew that every time you do a field strip for basic maintenance?
Yes, in order to remove the recoil assembly and bolt the stock adapter needs to be removed... 1 screw. The trade off is that your stock fitment to the upper receiver will always be tight (no wobble).
Is it possible to reuse the sling plate instead? I just got mine, will be installing it soon

Thanks I used that realavid block in a CZ scorpion class last week. Good product.
Any advice for someone who didn’t get as lucky and the spring is preventing the stock adapter from seating properly?

Is it possible to custom order a gen 1 10.8” forward hand rail for the Bren 2Ms? Currently you’re only selling the Gen 2.
HB is doing great things..... :) Now I have to go look for Bren2 now :)
Wait, if I manage to find one of those fancy $700 adjustable G36 stocks will it fit in the adapter?

No "play" at all in our Bren stock adapters... They mount rock solid to the upper receiver using the M5 torx screw.

This would've been my question, as it looks like this massively complicates field stripping the gun, which doesn't use any tools in factory condition.
This company is so damn innovative! Fixing the stupid mistakes of other companies lol.
Great vid, super clear and detailed instructions
You have to remove the screw in the back to disassemble the rifle now?
Correct. It is a T25 driver, same as handguard and factory sights, and many optic mounts.
A+, helped me tremendously!
Do you guys make a G36 stock adapter for the FN Scar in 308?
Currently we do not
Using my bren, I just measured my LOP at 12". Is this pretty much a no go for me?
Our G36 setup is about 14.25" LOP, which is obviously a bit longer than 12". The factory stock fully collapsed is about 12-12.5" (depending on which stock variant you have). Is this the 11inch pistol?
Yes, this is an 11" Bren 2 in 556 (SBR)
Do you have to take the sling mount off?

(On the plus side, the QD sockets on the receiver are unobstructed; several of us here are running G36 stock with QD sling in the rear receiver mount)
Will this work on the Bren 2 Carbine?
Yes, compatible with all Bren2 and Bren2MS variants including the 16" carbine model.
If you add this adapter to a Bren 2 pistol would it turn it into an SBR?
The adapter itself would not necessarily constitute an SBR, however if you put ANY stock on ANY Bren 2 pistol, then YES, you have manufactured an SBR.
@@hb_industries Thanks for the reply. What if you put an AR 15 pistol brace on? Like SBA3 tactical arm brace or similar. Would that make it an SBR?
@@ShawnGS300 The laws on braces seem to change with time, and we are not qualified to answer your question. Our advice would be to know and understand all applicable laws any time you choose to install or use a brace on a pistol.
Will this work with the ak lower for the bren?
Yes, as long as the AK type lower fits correctly with the factory rear trunnion/stock adapter, it will fit with ours :-)
Maybe I dont see it, but is there a "brace" end for these G36 stocks?
tommybuilttactical.com/idz-pistol-arm-brace (and we/HBI can sell just the Bren2 to G36 adapter if you need it)

Is the g36 lighter than oem?
Yes, technically the G36 setup is lighter, but they are both VERY close. HBI G36 is 14.5oz and I believe OEM is 15.4oz.
