I just got a Yamaha rx v2600 from offerup up very good condition and some Yamaha ns 555 speakers (2) they are 6ohm so I set the reciever to 6ohm setting I need a subwoofer now but most I see are 8ohm would I still be able to connect even if receiver is on 6ohm setting
take a look at the BIC F12 subwoofer for 220$ its amazing

Do you think as a 12 inch ported car subwoofer 150w is sufficient ? I find and mtx road thunder 12 inch tube with internal 150w rms amp for a very cheap price 35 euros (39$) but without all cables for the car.

Just use those speakers as the stands for now. That's what I do. Sometimes I stack them 3 high when I'm swapping stuff around to see what sounds best (I have tons of gear). I always use at least a towel between them. So I don't scratch them (learned that the hard way). And because I don't want the speakers exciting each other too much. I usually put a piece of foam board insulation between them also. ✌️

Hey @Doublesmm, what sub would you recommend for under $100? I dont plan on doing any diy projects unless i have too but what would you recommend?

Mtx audio terminator series subwoofers are pretty good quality. I use them for everything from home theater to party speakers. I am soon gonna be using a mtx 12" terminator
In my pa speaker that is 400 watts peak.
The mtx terminator has 200 watts RMS and 400 watts peak. You might want to check one out.
