I believe they don't smoke because they are bottoming out. When the bottom out that hard, it can bend the bottom of the voice coil and cause parts of the coil wire to get pinched and break. Every speaker i've blown that has just stopped working after bottoming out a lot had a broke wire at the bottom of the coil when I took it apart.
That amp is powerful. White noise is an interesting way to do it. I guess it's like with electric motor burn-outs, if you slowly work the thing to death and get all the coil insulation about equally fried and it really goes up.
Would you mind trying something new? Maybe build a simple enclosure with different sized holes and a soft ring to have it them speakers sound at least a bit better before they end haha. I bet this isn't the last blowout video so maybe its worth trying something like this
You have to slowly increase volume to blow them that way you heat the entire coil so the insulation starts burning ;-) Also filter higher bass frequencies out, so it gets less ventilation
6:42 - I blew the left channel tweeter on my Studio Monitors on Friday, so I'm feeling sad seeing this. lol I got on Midrange out of my left speaker now but it sounds dull - the right channel is fine.

The Panasonic over excured and the coil went over the magnetic gap and got stuck that's what caused it to blow so quick
