Yep. At least they used a Product Design company. I can't believe that this is not standard already. There was a cool cockpit design from Kirchner in the 80ies and Dietmar Finger did his Diploma project for Industrial Design at the FH Darmstadt for Rolladen Schneider (1989).

At least two Arcus E are already manufactured some years ago. They have an electric motor installed for selflaunching. But I guess the customers still want the combustion engine...
So what's the point of having an electrical operated gear? It adds extra weight from the motor and back up battery and you add stuff that can break. Seems like a gimmick to me.
electric will require whopping big, heavy batteries etc. to get an aircraft like that off the ground. plus extra cost. I think they are still a potential fire hazard too.
You got a thumbs down from me due to the music alone. I can't watch a video with that disgusting sound. Loose that tape. That sound is unbearable. I realize I can turn the volume off but I shouldn't have to do that. I want to hear information about the plane or the plane it's self. I heard about a full second of it and that was enough to piss me off. Don't do that. It's a disservice to yourself.
