The best rate of this song is given by the public. Look at the arena. No one moves. They respect the song. They didn´t used any of the resources of the stage, only light and voice. No chorus, firework or special effects. Only them. This song inspires respect, and they really went deep on us.

Italian songs are rich in culture, every song is never trivial. Unfortunately people don't care about the message they want to send that song. But people only like commercial music.
Unfortunately, my country's jury (Germany) didn't give them any points. Thankfully, the Germans themselves showed more common sense and taste in music and gave them 12 points.
I'm Italian and since sanremo I've been crying over this song. It is deep, powerful and full of raw emotions. These singers are perfectly honest and talented. They deserved so much better for this beautiful message. I'm not saying they should have won even tho they were and still are my favourites but being robbed from the jury points is kinda agitating. So underrated and disappointing but I'm happy to see so many people coming back here and keeping the message alive.
I'm from spain and even if I don't speak italian, it's easy to understand the lyrics and I can tell you I cry every time I hear this song, it touches me deeply.

Almost every year Italy sends masterpieces to the contest and they always are way underrated. I especially loved Il Volo from 2015 that won the televoting process . This one was also amazing as usual and carried with it a strong message for everybody. Italia, grazie per questa magnifica canzone! P.S. We were watching this with a bunch of people. Whilst the whole evening we had been laughing, talking and chatting, the room was dead silent during this song. So much emotion.
Italy deserves better EVERY TIME!! They have beautiful, meaningful songs, amazing melody, pure musical art and are joy to listen to. They represent the early days of Eurovision, when it was about the music, and not "the looks". Those days were the best. Now Eurovision is turning into a circus. I preferred the old system, but if strongly favored English-speaking countries, which is why they stopped imposing mother tongues. They should return to those old rules, and add the 'all voices must be performed live' and 'live orchestra' as well. Not because of nostalgia, but because I genuinely believe the quality of the music would improve.
Because they never send songs that fit Eurovision's audience. Eurovision is all about mainstream music and songs that everyone sings for 1 month and then forget for the rest of their lives because that's the taste of most people nowadays.
@@dkaf1000 i keep up with it. The performances, the intros, the interviews and before and after it. Obviously not in real time and not in one run because of the time zones, the fact that the entire thing happens before I get my hands on an footage and like it's not the same thrill since i cannot vote and my country is not out there competing but I still keep up, cause it's a very cool idea- and I get to listen to so many different songs and find out so many diff artists. Also had it not been for a lot of the performances, I wouldn't even be politically aware about some of the countries including Italy.

I'm Italian and since sanremo I've been crying over this song. It is deep, powerful and full of raw emotions. These singers are perfectly honest and talented.
They deserved so much better for this beautiful message. I'm not saying they should have won even tho they were and still are my favourites but being robbed from the jury points is kinda agitating.

Almost every year Italy sends masterpieces to the contest and they always are way underrated. I especially loved Il Volo from 2015 that won the televoting process . This one was also amazing as usual and carried with it a strong message for everybody.

Italy deserves better EVERY TIME!! They have beautiful, meaningful songs, amazing melody, pure musical art and are joy to listen to. They represent the early days of Eurovision, when it was about the music, and not "the looks". Those days were the best. Now Eurovision is turning into a circus. If this year it was all about "the message", then Italian song had such a strong and important message and it truly, truly deserved to win. Love you Italia

@@dkaf1000 absolutely nope for me, it's almost the only song that brought such an important topic at Eurovision that year....I agree that maybe "Occidentali's Karma" the year before maybe didn't deserve the top 5, but this surely did! If you only could understand well the Italian lyrics you'd really get how poetic the lyrics are. I'm not saying that other countries' songs were awful, but still...really if I hear you say that Fuego (which came 2nd!) and Toy (won) are better I swear I'm slashing someone with a pan.

That's the way it used to be, and people were not happy with that either.
I preferred the old system, but if strongly favored English-speaking countries, which is why they stopped imposing mother tongues. They should return to those old rules, and add the 'all voices must be performed live' and 'live orchestra' as well. Not because of nostalgia, but because I genuinely believe the quality of the music would improve.

The only reason me, an Indian, follows and watches eurovsion is Italy. Why it never wins it beyond me
Because they never send songs that fit Eurovision's audience. Eurovision is all about mainstream music and songs that everyone sings for 1 month and then forget for the rest of their lives because that's the taste of most people nowadays.
You watch a whole 3 hours show because of ONE entry? Sure.
@@dkaf1000 i keep up with it. The performances, the intros, the interviews and before and after it. Obviously not in real time and not in one run because of the time zones, the fact that the entire thing happens before I get my hands on an footage and like it's not the same thrill since i cannot vote and my country is not out there competing but I still keep up, cause it's a very cool idea- and I get to listen to so many different songs and find out so many diff artists. Also had it not been for a lot of the performances, I wouldn't even be politically aware about some of the countries including Italy.
