Write the first draft. 5. Put it away and get on with another projects. 6. When it's just a vague memory, dig it out and rewrite, and rewrite... 7. Show it to people and talk about it to everybody.
@F is the bomb. Not directly, although I've read many books in the past. It's just what I've fallen into so that I can avoid that procrastination. I believe that first drafts are the proof of concept and should be captured quickly so that the idea is 'frozen' fresh.
I think it is from his work "In Praise of Darkness." The quote being “We are our memory, we are that chimerical museum of shifting shapes, that pile of broken mirrors.” Not 100% sure though
The established screenwriter can take 30 years , he/she is living comfortably , probably flipping that money in other endeavors . Then they create another box office hit .
