This video was shot on the 9th of march, the last time I managed to get out on my e-rider kayak before the rivers shut! Managed to get a few fish caught but it was mega hard work, really had to grind them out.

I am curious , what size of braid are you using on your reel ?
I live in Canada and here we use pretty stiff braid ( 80lbs - 0.43mm braid for my big bait combo for pikes and muskys )

Just wondering, why do you buy the shads hookless rather than ready made? Is it not more expensive?

Why do you often put your hands in the mouth of the pike, the one time I did that I was immediately bitten, I prefer to stick to my pike size!😋

No buoyancy aid that I can see, jeans, boots...
If you go in, can you get out.
Have you got spare dry clothes either in the kayak, or your van..
Space blanket to hand to keep you warm, waterproof communications to call for help...
You may think, it won't happen....But it can and does..

@@pikeandperch yeh there’s also not many pike near me there are lakes with them but it’s really hard with lures
