1) Would it have been possible to complete the POB in less than 10 days, or would that have been too hard?
2) How was the access to buy meals/food along the route/trail?
3) Did you experience tick bites?

Hi, less than 10 days is for sure possible if you have a good condition or don't pack a tent and sleep in de guesthouses. Don't expect to many possibility buying found around the trail except for guesthouses. I usually camped there and eat dinner and breakfast. No ticks at all, but there were a lot of musquitos around Plav!

Thanks! Yes ik ben ook door Kosovo gegaan. Er was daar wel een weg in aanbouw, een snelheid is een groot woord die ga je niet vinden in deze gebieden :) plus hetgeen in aanbouw was ook maar een deel van de route. Ik zou Kosovo gewoon meepakken, hou er wel rekening mee dat de route markering daar iets minder is. Kortstondig verdwalen is gegarandeerd

Hi, i bought a Kovea P adapter online and a normal piercable canister in Plav. I didn't see any screw type canisters in Podgorica or Plav

@@Joostbosman1986 just FYI also for others - I bought screw in type canister in OKOV 8 Blaža Jovanovića, Podgorica ,,, on my last day in Podgorica I bought camping stove for piercing canisters in Mall of Montenegro in home supply shop ,,, it was 5e and suprisingly works fine so this is also an option

Yeah i only camped but most of the time next to guesthouses so i could eat there. If you dont plan on staying there you need to bring extra food

Hi super keen to know what month you did this. Did you have issues with dogs/bears/wolves? I'm a solo older female hiker planning not on the PoB but some circuits in the area such as going Theth-Valbone-Vusijne-Gusinje-Theth. I will also be tenting. Comments on that? Water access? Good camping spots? Mostly interested in the wild animal and dog issue that i hear so much about - particularly shepherd dogs!

Hi! This was the second half of June. I didn't encounter any bears / wolves. Dogs yes, but all were friendly. Just be aware of dogs who protect the sheep / other cattle by not crossing them. In the video i am petting one of the shepherd dogs @14:23. I stayed at the guesthouses with my tent so i could enjoy their food, besides the guesthouses there are so many spots to pitch a tent. Water access is good, do bring a filter

Mooie video Joost, moet een geweldige tocht zijn geweest! Ik vroeg mij af hoe je naar Plav bent gereisd, vanaf Podgorica met een bus? En had je eten voor de hele tocht meegenomen of maakte je gebruik van de gastverblijven op de route? Ik ben van plan deze route ook solo te lopen, vandaar mijn vragen ;) alvast bedankt.

Dank! Yes met de bus inderdaad, als je Googled op bustickets vindt je vanzelf een site waar je ze online kunt bestellen. Ik had deels zelf eten bij mij en deels bij guesthouses gegeten en gekampeerd. Daar kun je terecht voor avondeten, ontbijt en packed lunch. Veel plezier alvast!
