Some general comments:
38:47 He’s certainly an Airbus fanboy, I’m not so sure 777 pilots are ‘jealous’ of the A340’s CFM’s😂 (I’m not partial to either manufacturer)
54:37 The 777 and 787 cruise higher than the A340; no planes will reach their ‘optimum level’ if they are heavy enough.
55:05 I think what he was trying to say is that European airlines were more skeptical of ETOPS when it first came out. Hence why airlines like Lufthansa continued to order quads for many years.
55:34 The 777 spent a year flying before it was certified in 1995.
58:08 The 777 and 787 have a picnic table behind the seats, as well as smaller tables beside the pilots. I still generally prefer control columns, as opposed to ‘crossing the legs’
58:33 Lol, ‘European Concepts’ 🤪 That’s kind of racist, ngl! There are many vibrant cultures that do not eat at tables that are just as (if not more) civilised than Europeans!
