We are so blessed to have you, this video and your channel. I’m making a transition into leadership and I’m second guessing myself. I feel like I am taking on four roles at once and I’m not even officially a leader. My takeaway from this video is there is not a one size fits all solution to improve your overall team’s problems. Thank you for putting this information out there. These videos will definitely help me with my future career.
I'm not a new manager, but your videos are still very helpful to me. I run a county government with 550 employees and 18 departments. I just passed my 7-year anniversary in this role, and I realize I have not been invested enough time in my own leadership development so that I can help build leaders in my organization. Thank you for what you share.
I am in a fast food business, I work with younger team. I feel like somewhat it is harder because they seems so sensitive to my words or when I tell them what to do. They will just quit very easily too. 😢Thank you for your information!!
Thanks for the suggestion to self reflect on what we need to do to support our teams. I have a mixed team, some are excellent go getters always looking for something to help with and others milk the time, take long lunches by sneaking around, being understaffed it's hard to keep tabs on staff when they are spread out through out a hospital. I was just accused of being condescending to two employees who do not follow instructions at a government agency, however they were extremely rude and disrespectful toward me, and of course that does not get mentioned by them to my supervisors. I was basically told to fix the situation because I am their direct supervisor. I too feel like a glorified baby sitter. How do I bear and grin it when employees behave badly ? Basically toxic. I don't want to have a heart attack over this.
February 12th will be my 2nd year anniversary with the company. I've been an assistant manager for over a year and for the first time, I'm having issues with employees being disrespectful, creating drama due to romantic relationships with other employees, swapping assigned tasks, and underperforming. It's frustrating being told by the store manager that they've told other departments to keep an eye on my team while I'm not clocked in. It's very easy to point out faults with my team members and think that in some cases letting certain people go is the best solution. While it sounds harsh, you're not wrong. My leadership is ineffective currently. I'm conflict avoidant and struggling to meet the daily expectations with poor staffing.
I’m feeling ineffective as a leader with costly mistakes my team is making lately. I was hoping for more, but I just came across your channel and subscribed. I will be watching more content to see if I can get more direction. I did enjoy and take away a lot from the having difficult conversations video.
Thanks Sasha for stopping by! As you can imagine it’s hard for me to give specific information in a UA-cam video without knowing the specifics of the scenario and that was what I was trying to communicate in this video. I’m glad that one of the videos was helpful. If you ever want to get more specific advice tailored to your situation feel free to reach out 😊

My key take away, is to never confuse the symptoms with the core issues when it comes to team management.
I am the general duty manger ! Pick up everything that people don’t do!
Thank you , very helpful info
So basically individualize direction and guidance!?
You said it, it's not a bad team, it's ineffective leadership.
I was expecting more
