    Hey Moggs, what about converting the Triumph's wheel well into a hinged one, that opens from below. Then you could cross-brace the hole inside the boot, and place the batteries straight over it. Cut the well off underneath, and weld on a hinge and a clasp to secure it. Rubber edge seal. Job done.

    I like the fact that many of the old designs run so well on a new power source. I wonder if it's because they were designed so well in the first place? They only had had pencils, paper and rulers but that Vitess could go for another twenty years - in which time all the components will have shrunk again, with more power. Well done you lot!

    The Aston Martin is my favourite out of those, because they have so much character, and electrifying it will transform its performance. But those mismatched tyres had my OCD in a spin. 😫 The Vitesse was a close second, purely because of the superb standard of restoration. More Triumphs need to be treated as nicely as that. Keep up the great work, guys. 🙂👍

    I love the smaller cars. Out of interest, could you guys do a kit with a smaller motor that can fit in cars' transmission tunnel or in place of the diff? That seems like quite a bit of weight that could be removed and you'd be saving space in the engine bay for batteries or storage, making it a bit more practical.
    Have you guys had interest to convert a Fiat X1/9 or Toyota MR2? That seems like you could put a really small motor in there and have a fun little car which handles really well.

      For my part…I believe Mr. Morgan is improving classics and making them more relevant to drive daily. The totally-restored, pristine-condition classic cars seem meant to suffer silently in warehouses and museums. Their value has turned them into paintings and sculptures on wheels. That’s fine as far as it goes…which isn’t far. Power-mad politicians want us to give up our classic cars. Mr. Morgan and his ilk allow us to thumb our collective noses at these authoritarian dictators. At least…until ALL cars are taken from us…😂😅

    Teslarossa, Aston Martin with that sweet m3 subframe bolted in. Then the time attack monster beetle.
    Last maybe the 944 conversions you did a video on a while back. 👍🏻😎
    Have you guys ever lent an ear to the idea of buying a complete road worthy say awd m3 and pulling the body off it.
    Then swap on the outer body of a classic?
    Or like some have done on other ev swap channels make a custom tube frame that can directly accept the whole entire tesla battery pack's underneath and also bolt on the stock tesla suspension motors brakes etc. 🤔

    I’m with Tim, the 912 (in perfect Blue/Tan combo!) for me, followed closely by the 356 then the Beetle.
    Question:
    If a person wants to keep shifting gears it looks like the Hyper9 is the answer. Is there a different motor with a few more beans(hp) available? An electric 912 with 4-speed and 160-200hp would be perfect!
    Another dream car of mine would be a 356 Coupe Replica from JPS Motorsports with EV power. All the beauty and nimbleness of a 356 without worrying about the ridiculous value! I sure wish someone would make a 911/912 Replica, but I’m afraid Stuttgart would frown on that endeavor.
    The Aston Martin makes me wonder if the owner looked over his list of favorite classic cars until he matched one ( the Aston) to the track width of the Tesla motor/sub-frame. It’s brilliant!
    Thanks for a highly enjoyable update!

    The 356 is gorgeous. I guess the lower power engine will give it more range for the batteries on the other hand?

      @johnbb99 Рік тому +1

      As with an ICE engine (but surely more so) if you're gentle with the right foot, you can be economical even with a powerful engine/motor. My guess is choice of less powerful motor was to save weight, size, cost, or stress on the rest of the drivetrain. Maybe Richard would be kind enough to enlighten us.

    • @MrAdopado
      @MrAdopado Рік тому +1

      If driven flat out then yes it would have more range than a more powerful motor but in normal driving there won't be any difference. The more powerful electric motors are not less efficient for a given output unlike petrol engines of yesteryear.

    I love the Ghibli and the 356. Even more so with the keeping of the original gearbox. Is it dual Hyper 9's in the Ghibli. It looks like X1 inverters. Are the cable covers something you 3D print? they look like they have your logo on them. The high voltage cable clamps are those 3D printed? or is someone manufacturing them now? My son designed and printed some for my 914 a few years and they still look new, so it seems printed parts can hold up. Are they going to keep and store the engine of 356? I hope you do build videos of both those cars.
