@@EverydayGuitarist Wow that's pretty incredible sound then! amazing, I can't wait to get home and play, great pointers man, very few people doing Pop punk tutorials, was happy to find your channel.
Gustavo Peters I appreciate it dude. All I really to do guitars in the mix is as high pass at like 90hz and low pass at like 12k to get rid of the messy stuff. Everything else I work as hard as possible to make sure everything is able to be replicated without plugins or a bunch of processing. I talked about it in the first video I did on these sounds, but bass is such a huge part of the modern pop punk sound. That’s where most of my processing goes!
Hey, great job man! been playing a lot of pop punk stuff and this really helped me in trying to set up a preset on my Helix. Appreciate the insight, rock on.
Real bass! I use plug ins for processing instead of an amp though, I’ll go through and explain how I go about get those tones a different time If you’d like!
Do you use different settings on our overdrive pedal for rhythm and lead? Or is the only difference just the addition of delay & reverb? Love these pop punk tone videos btw. There’s not a lot out there on UA-cam for this genre specifically and I often come back to yours for reference. Would also be interested to hear how you integrate other FX like chorus in this genre, like you mentioned on the first video - strymon deco. Cheers 👍
Generally it’s just the adding of delay and reverb, but if it’s a solo I’ll add an overdrive with a dB boost or a low cut to help it cut through the mix better. And I am working on that video incorporating FX!
What is your FAVORITE Pop Punk lead guitar sound of all time?
probably roam from the story so far the tone on Under soil and dirt in general is fuckin amazing
@@hadinasrallah8928 Dude, its so good!
@@EverydayGuitarist hell yeah definitely best pop punk album and band in my opinion
Neck Deep - December
dude ranch or dynamite boy's hell is other people.
You should do a video on how you process the sound after!! love your content man. Keep up the good work.
I can talk about that! I try to do as little as possible in these kind of videos so it’s more able to be replicated by everyone.

Sick video mate! You mentioned bass tone, is that a real bass or sequenced?

Everyday Guitarist That would be awesome! Cheers for putting up these videos, really helping me shape my own tone.
That’s really great and I’m excited I can help people with that!

Everyday Guitarist Thank you that sounds perfect. I will definitely look at using a dB boost for solos or if I need to cut through a mix. 👍
Awesome tutorial
Great video! Go for the bass tone video!!
Do you think you can make a guide for bass?
Working on that now!
