hey man, couldn't help but notice you have the mid switch up on the rhythm guitars but down on the lead, it should probably be the other way round. switch up is boosting mids which makes it cut through the mix more, mid switch down is standard big muff with mid cut, which is better for powerchords

That Duesenberg trem is fabulous when set up right, I have it on a few guitars. But it can be swapped for a regular stop tail if you don't like it.

I’m a minute it and WOW!!! I absolutely love your playing, but it’s the way you bounce back and forth into the full mix that does it for me!! I, like many, jam in my room and fiddle with my tone for days, but when you actually hear it in a mix, the tone I would not necessarily love, just EXPLODES in a mix!!! Great job!!!!… and now, for the other eleven minutes!?!!

Can you give a little more input on how to EQ to get this sort of tone? I'm new to using an EQ of any type so genuinely curious on the settings to look for.

I'm currently playing with a PPC212 CB, and a tiny terror, no pedals, and i'm playing on a epiphone les paul studio, or a classic vibe 50' tele , do you think the only thing i'm missing to get that modern overdrive is a good klon clone pedal ? great video! what i was doing lately is quad tracking. using the neural dsp fortin cali as the louder guitar and give it a little more bass (as you mentioned, not that it tackles the bassdrum and bass frequencies) and pan it all the way L and R. as the second guitar i use the amplitube mesa triple rectifier and eq it a little higher and pan it 80L and 80R.

Imagine how this guitar would look with rosewood. I only saw one vintera with a nice pau ferro board, probably andertons video. Cant stand the PF for some reason.

Great video man. Thanks. I have a hard time getting a good punk tone on Darkglass gear. You got it really close IMO. I like a little more clank, and I just can’t seem to get it via Darkglass without that metal-ish character, but I’m trying. I have the Orange Bass Butler, which gets the perfect clank and high end for punk, but the lows are just too thin for me, especially with my Ric. I’m trying to get the best of both worlds but don’t know if I can fully get there with Darkglass alone. Ugh. The eternal hunt for tone drives me crazy with all the preamps out there.

Awesome demo. Have one and I love it. I get any sound or tone I want outta DSL. Hard to beat. And I have lots of amps. Mainly using DSL and ENGL Artist Edition. Cheers man!

I'm a rare bird but I actually have the exact guitar that Tom DeLong played during 2008 not the production model The real thing and I also have a Mesa boogie dual channel triple rectifier revision g I know this is a dream setup but the problem is I don't know how to use it My recording gear is Steinberg CL1 and a PreSonus tube preamp I am currently using a crate GX212 which should be capable of doing pop punk but something is wrong guitar sound really thin

Whatever you want to call the genre, I've long felt a guitarists job is to build on prior guitarists, while bringing the up to date relevance and sensibility. IDK about his own efforts, but he has the right influences. PB provide tools for that job.
