As someone who grew up around Harley's, rode them and worked on them, I can tell you that the V Star is no clone. Yamaha's Star line up are all superior to HD.

Well, I own a 2001 VStar 1100 that’s very nice by anyones standards baring prejudice. And I also own a 2012 Fatboy Lo that I special ordered new. While there are some similarities, they are quite different. But admittedly, my VStar often gets mistaken for a Harley. I don’t think Honda riders have to go around correcting others lol. I’m not throwing shade on Honda’s, I have a very nice Honda Rancher 4 wheeler that’s amazing. Anyway, this clone as you call it is very nice, great job!

My first bike was a 07 1100 Classic. Great bike, love it, good luck.👍

Bike looked nothing like the blacked out intro. Nice video of the handle bars, though... That alone would make me run out and get one

The title is a pretty good comparison honestly, it really does sound like a fatboy clone!! I'll have to do a review on my fatty when I get a real helmet setup 😆

Didn't happen to know what the exhaust was? Been riding the v star 650 with pod kit and fat stakkers exhaust. Seriously considering an 1100 nearby.

We loved your video. Its the V Star 1100 that I really want for the highway and around town. For the last 2 years I've been riding a V Star 650 classic fully decked but not a good highway bike, the RPMs are up too high. The 1100 is PERFECT for all riding. I think it could be the last bike I ever need to purchase. The 650 was just to get started. On a scale of 1 through 10 which would you give the 1100 for power, passing power and highway durability?

I've been on a V Star 1100 Classic for the last two years. Before that, I was on a Vulcan 1500 Classic and I was wondering if I'd be satisfied with the 1100. It's been the best bike I've ever had. I've taken it on several 1500 mile runs and regularly take 200-500 mile rides. It's also my everyday ride. It's agile in town and powerful enough for the highway, for sure. Never have an issue passing. It's comfortable and big enough (I'm 6 feet 2, 220 pounds), handles a passenger with ease and runs like a tireless beast.

@@rickholeman9045 it worked great until I had an accident. Trying to pick it up and had to trailer on a camping trip home made me look for something lighter. It was a great bike but switched to a sportster 1200 low was more what I needed, it is much lighter thevthe vstar. But for a passenger the sportster is not a good bike for heavy people.
