Just found your channel. You are delightful. 😊 I haven’t had blackberry cobbler almost 40 years. My mother passed a year ago and took her recipe with her. I’m going to give it a try. Your recipe looks delicious.
Hi Ms. Mattie, I'm a new subscriber I really enjoy watching you cook. I have a question with this black berry cobbler did you use fresh blackberries or frozen blackberries.
Thanks Joann for subscribing. The video shows fresh blackberry. Please continue watching my videos with friends and family and subscribe if not. Thanks
Thank you for your response Ms. Mattie, No worries i will continue to watch your videos. I watched your yams video and I learned something new from this video. I never knew sweet potatoes make their own water. My husband didn't know either when he cook yams he add 1/2 cup of water. We will no longer add water. Thank you so much
Hint: Flour thickens to its highest thickness when it’s boiled. The same flour/water mixture she shows is what I use to make my turkey and chicken gravy. You can use any leftover flour/water to make biscuit gravy. Add it to your pan drippings, after frying meat, can be either sausage or pork chops or roast beef, etc.
Forgot to say add enough Milk (after the flour mixture absorbs the pan drippings), and eyeball it to the consistency desired. It will thicken as it cools.
I am sorry I don’t measure I taste my food. It’s best especially when it’s cobbler probably a cup and half. Please watch my videos and subscribe if not. Thanks
This brings back memories and I love your Presentation

I'm not a big peach cobbler fan. My Big Mama would make a blackberry cobbler on the side for me and my cousin. Miss those days. I'm going to try this.

I just found a huge bush of Blackberries behind my barn Today and I'm gonna make me a cobbler I just gotta learn how.
It’s try my recipe and you will love it
That looks like a lot of nutmeg & cinnamon. I’m going to give it a try but maybe cut back. I like the way you thicken before adding the berries
It's not. Thanks for your info please sub
Bout to try it I'll let you the outcome..
Please do and sub and share. Thanks
Hint: If you stir the cinnamon and nutmeg into a cup of either sugar, it will stir right in when added to the water.
I will have to try that next time. Thanks enjoy!
