One person i managed to forget, and she was a female,( Like me) yep, an older woman... thought she would have loved me back but i was stupid i guess, should have known better. Why would a grown adult love a teenager? well... that was MY logical thinking. Teenagers have nothing to offer, they arent stable or anything, and we're a handful to take care of.. i couldnt have given her much of anything. I was hoping that taking a few mouthfulls of vodka would help me forget , and it did back then. I ended up in the hospital on IV drip that night, & literally my mind forgot about this for 20 plus years of my life, i also forgot about a few other memories..that have to do with and older adult male too. Anyways now.. 20 yrs later tho, it just poped back in my mind and idk what triggered it, but i remember it all now like it was yesterday. I wish it was different, becuase it was pretty cool hanging out with her, we talked allday and stuff, hell, i really dont honestly know what we talked about, me being 14 and her 30, i mean what kind of conversation could we have had lol, but we smoked cigs , just hung out at another older couples house and listened to 80's music on one of those vintage 70 tapedecks things that had a recod player on top. Back then in the 90's people werent on this health kick bandwagon stupid trend thing that we cant show smoking. Everyone smoked ciggerettes and we had asthrays everywhere lol I seriously dont think this Kahlil guy has ever tried getting drunk to the piont of passing out. It 100 percent works! ( You wont remember certain memories for 20 years!) PS : Becuaee of these events i think i know why i like older adults now. I never thought of them in this way tho & i had a few partners my own age when i was younger.

What I primarily get from this video is that "the one" is not just one person but a person you've built a trusting bond with. As a romantic I used to believe this and I used to do this. I gave more than could be returned and in the end when I needed something, it wasn't there. Support goes both ways. It's a childish fantasy to think one can invest into someone like this without any sort of return. Yes, you do a lot for them in good faith, but if it's only in good faith then as a solid foundation you are setting the relationship up for failure. Love may not have conditions but relationships do. Some of the obvious are cheating, lying, betrayal, etc, but these are not the only things you can refuse to continue loving unconditionally for. You may not stop feeling love for them, but to be unconditional is an unreasonable task to commit to.

I'm binge watching all the relationship videos...This is my first real relationship, and I don't want to mess it up. We have all the green flags, and our relationship reflects all the points mentioned in this video. We're just so young, and even though we've talked about the future when we grow up, there are days I can't imagine what will happen in between now and then. EDIT: She ended up showing her true colors about three months into the relationship. She never saw me as who I was and apparently dated me out of pity. I found my soul mate 4 years ago. For three years now we've been together. We've seen it all, medical problems, family problems, deaths, friendships, new beginnings and ends. I couldn't imagine my life without him, nor him without me. We're together through everything, for better or for worse, and despite everything that's happened, I could never imagine a happier life.

I think I found the one. we went through some tough stuff in the beginning, we didnt even have a honeymoon phase because life got really difficult and responsibilities weighed too much and everything was super rocky at first and we both hurt each other really bad because our communication and trust wasn't 100%, but through it all, there was something there. we still did about 8/10 things listed in this video even though we were going through a hard time. we agreed to cultivate it and now, we are finally connecting better and everything feels right, we are on the same page and ever since then, life has been so much better. I'm sure we are doing all 10 things now and im eager about the future
this is EXACTLY how it’s been with my relationship. pretty rocky in the beginning because yes, life got in the way and we both had taken on some of the biggest responsibilities we’ve each had to take on. so emotions were getting the best of us, and our trust and communication weren’t great yet. we both came from VERY different backgrounds, yet we have that connection i’ve never felt before. and it’s so peaceful. arguments and disagreements are healthy!! and we’re communicating and being more open than ever now :) we’re continuing to get better and it’s nice bc i can see he’s really trying too. i believe in instant connections, and i also believe in two people coming together, and equally really wanting to work towards bettering themselves and eachother, yk? :) even if it does end up being somewhat rocky at first. working thru situations only made us closer and more understanding. best wishes to you and your partner!!

Me and My girlfriend have been together only 7 months now. I love her more than anything and sometimes just how much we both love one another can be scary because it feels like we are moving so fast but in reality we simply never felt like we had to put up the front that so many people do when they start a relationship. We have gotten a lot of judgement from others who told us that we are too young to know what we are talking about or to know that what we want together is best for us, but it has not once held us back from doing what we want to do. In my opinion there are two things that can also help you know if they are the one. One is that immediate comfort you get from someone. The feeling like you should be married already lol. Sometimes it isn't a great idea to rush too fast into things, but when you feel comfortable around someone and they do too you will start understanding each other deeply very fast. Another way to tell has to do with the first point in the video. No matter how much resistance we get towards what we want to do and how, not once have we ever felt the need to give in to those judgments from others. Sometimes it feels like it is us against the world and how I know she is the one is because that doesn't scare me at all. She is an infinite source of strength and wisdom and support and when someone is right for you I promise you will recognize this early on.
I had all these things with a boy I met long distance, we would spend long hours talking about our future together and just talking in general. We never stopped talking. He always went out of his way to make time to spend with me, he would ditch his friends at any hours of the day just to text me, and I honestly felt like I was myself around him which is something I’ve never felt before. We would play on the vr and sit under the stars together and just talk for hours, or pull all nighters talking to each other because neither one of us wanted to end the conversation. The only problem was, we were both kids, and he lived in another country… and one day he said he couldn’t do the distance anymore, and just… left. Hasn’t interacted with me since. Even went to far as to block me, and all out of nowhere. I saw on his story he was with another girl, and they seemed happy. We were both young but I really believed that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, and he did too, but I guess he changed his mind. I guess maybe it was too good to be true.
@@roisinallen5489 hey it’s ok i know how it feels, I was really upset for a long time, I thought I would never feel better, that I would always miss him. But I was wrong, I go weeks or months now without him crossing my mind. It takes the average person 8 months to get over a breakup but I promise It will get better, even if you think it won’t. Even now I’m glad we broke up because i grew a lot as a person and now after all this time I understand why he broke up with me, and I couldn’t say I would’ve done different in his situation. Things don’t work out for a reason and that’s OK. As much as it hurts, love does fade over time and I know back then I didn’t want it to fade, but now I’m glad it did. I went through all stages of grief over him, but now I can say I’m a happier, smarter person and I’m much more careful about the people I let into my heart. And always keep in mind that if it was meant to be, it will be. Things have a funny way of working out, but if you really were meant to be you will find a way back to each other in the future, until then it’s best to just move on :)

One person i managed to forget, and she was a female,( Like me) yep, an older woman... thought she would have loved me back but i was stupid i guess, should have known better. Why would a grown adult love a teenager? well... that was MY logical thinking. Teenagers have nothing to offer, they arent stable or anything, and we're a handful to take care of.. i couldnt have given her much of anything. I was hoping that taking a few mouthfulls of vodka would help me forget , and it did back then. I ended up in the hospital on IV drip that night, & literally my mind forgot about this for 20 plus years of my life, i also forgot about a few other memories..that have to do with and older adult male too. Anyways now.. 20 yrs later tho, it just poped back in my mind and idk what triggered it, but i remember it all now like it was yesterday. I wish it was different, becuase it was pretty cool hanging out with her, we talked allday and stuff, hell, i really dont honestly know what we talked about, me being 14 and her 30, i mean what kind of conversation could we have had lol, but we smoked cigs , just hung out at another older couples house and listened to 80's music on one of those vintage 70 tapedecks things that had a recod player on top. Back then in the 90's people werent on this health kick bandwagon stupid trend thing that we cant show smoking. Everyone smoked ciggerettes and we had asthrays everywhere lol

As a romantic I used to believe this and I used to do this. I gave more than could be returned and in the end when I needed something, it wasn't there. Support goes both ways. It's a childish fantasy to think one can invest into someone like this without any sort of return. Yes, you do a lot for them in good faith, but if it's only in good faith then as a solid foundation you are setting the relationship up for failure. Love may not have conditions but relationships do. Some of the obvious are cheating, lying, betrayal, etc, but these are not the only things you can refuse to continue loving unconditionally for. You may not stop feeling love for them, but to be unconditional is an unreasonable task to commit to.
That way you will only end up used and abused.

EDIT: She ended up showing her true colors about three months into the relationship. She never saw me as who I was and apparently dated me out of pity. This just reaffirmed that he's the one. I've always known it, but the reassurance is quite wonderful. I think I found the one. we went through some tough stuff in the beginning, we didnt even have a honeymoon phase because life got really difficult and responsibilities weighed too much and everything was super rocky at first and we both hurt each other really bad because our communication and trust wasn't 100%, but through it all, there was something there. we still did about 8/10 things listed in this video even though we were going through a hard time. we agreed to cultivate it and now, we are finally connecting better and everything feels right, we are on the same page and ever since then, life has been so much better. this is EXACTLY how it’s been with my relationship. pretty rocky in the beginning because yes, life got in the way and we both had taken on some of the biggest responsibilities we’ve each had to take on. so emotions were getting the best of us, and our trust and communication weren’t great yet. we both came from VERY different backgrounds, yet we have that connection i’ve never felt before. and it’s so peaceful. arguments and disagreements are healthy!! and we’re communicating and being more open than ever now :) we’re continuing to get better and it’s nice bc i can see he’s really trying too. i believe in instant connections, and i also believe in two people coming together, and equally really wanting to work towards bettering themselves and eachother, yk? :) even if it does end up being somewhat rocky at first. working thru situations only made us closer and more understanding. best wishes to you and your partner!!

I found him & had to let him go 2 months ago to avoid a custody war with my family. He was future minded & made all his moves based around me...but long distance, pandemic, and people ripped us apart and I was presented with an ultimatum to let him go or lose my daughter 😭 #NightmareComeTrue. Chances are it was a he, lets get real.
Me and My girlfriend have been together only 7 months now. I love her more than anything and sometimes just how much we both love one another can be scary because it feels like we are moving so fast but in reality we simply never felt like we had to put up the front that so many people do when they start a relationship. We have gotten a lot of judgement from others who told us that we are too young to know what we are talking about or to know that what we want together is best for us, but it has not once held us back from doing what we want to do. In my opinion there are two things that can also help you know if they are the one. One is that immediate comfort you get from someone. The feeling like you should be married already lol. Sometimes it isn't a great idea to rush too fast into things, but when you feel comfortable around someone and they do too you will start understanding each other deeply very fast. Another way to tell has to do with the first point in the video. No matter how much resistance we get towards what we want to do and how, not once have we ever felt the need to give in to those judgments from others. Sometimes it feels like it is us against the world and how I know she is the one is because that doesn't scare me at all. She is an infinite source of strength and wisdom and support and when someone is right for you I promise you will recognize this early on.
I've found my soulmate and I hope everyone finds yours. It's the happiest feeling when you can share everything, and be truly you with your partner.
I had all these things with a boy I met long distance, we would spend long hours talking about our future together and just talking in general. We never stopped talking. He always went out of his way to make time to spend with me, he would ditch his friends at any hours of the day just to text me, and I honestly felt like I was myself around him which is something I’ve never felt before. We would play on the vr and sit under the stars together and just talk for hours, or pull all nighters talking to each other because neither one of us wanted to end the conversation. The only problem was, we were both kids, and he lived in another country… and one day he said he couldn’t do the distance anymore, and just… left. Hasn’t interacted with me since. Even went to far as to block me, and all out of nowhere. I saw on his story he was with another girl, and they seemed happy. We were both young but I really believed that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, and he did too, but I guess he changed his mind. I guess maybe it was too good to be true.

But I was wrong, I go weeks or months now without him crossing my mind. It takes the average person 8 months to get over a breakup but I promise It will get better, even if you think it won’t. Even now I’m glad we broke up because i grew a lot as a person and now after all this time I understand why he broke up with me, and I couldn’t say I would’ve done different in his situation. Things don’t work out for a reason and that’s OK. As much as it hurts, love does fade over time and I know back then I didn’t want it to fade, but now I’m glad it did. I went through all stages of grief over him, but now I can say I’m a happier, smarter person and I’m much more careful about the people I let into my heart. And always keep in mind that if it was meant to be, it will be. Things have a funny way of working out, but if you really were meant to be you will find a way back to each other in the future, until then it’s best to just move on :)
