Being watching the vids for couple months now, love the content :D. Im not pretty good on reading the game, but if i had to put all the balls in one basket on why Motive won, is that his cost-efficiency was out of this world during the series, this match that cleanup on the hold was crisp, and the Hero reaver on the 4th match are there to show it. At this point dont know if it was Motive crazy play, or Misu bloodlust making him do questionable desitions. Regardless im so excited for both 3rd place and final, i hope Motive and Scan just drop the sickest plays :D
I'm not gonna lie, I tend to really root against zerg in most matchups. It just feels like it's "easier" for them to snag quick victories and then dark swarm always seems really OP to me. The quick cannons Motive utilized in this series seem to really challenge Zerg to slow that early aggression and throw them off their game.
Miso's strategy in the second game was a little weird; he just massed hydras and scourge. That's not a bad thing in and of itself, but when you're fighting a rich P with tons of storms, it's not very efficient. During the first real engagement, he lost like 30 hydras in seconds to storms!
If he had a few more larva to make speedlings with he wouldve cleaned up the dragoons easily and macro out from there, just didnt balance his minerals and larva count perfectly while Motive was macroing very well, he only got a little bit supply blocked once at around 150 and was constantly making rounds of gateway units with that fast third base.
@@TheSuperappelflap Ling's would've actually been terrible right at the end, Motive had +2 armor and Miso had not gotten melee upgrades yet, so his lings would do a whopping 2 damage per hit to most ground units. Seems like Miso just thought he could out-muscle motive and lost the gamble.
Before the competition started, Artosis described Miso as one of the best aggressive Zerg in the world, who unfortunately tends to throw games by being over-aggressive and failing to transition into a more conventional, positional play after getting his initial lead. I suppose Artosis was right. In this series, that's two games Miso threw exactly like Artosis had said. (Game 1 being the worst case, but this one also qualifies. Two throws take you from a 4-2 score to 2-4.) With cleaner transitions, Miso would have been more than good enough to win this competition.
Honestly in the last game Miso has spent 2 controll groups of scourge to kill 2 or 3 corsairs. Thats the game ending move by itself, but he didnt stop, he decided to chill with hydras in psy storms.
Amazing games. But dude, that 104 Reaver game HAS GOT to hurt... Cuz Miso HAD that game, but he kept throwing zerglings up a tiny ramp against 4 archons and a hero reaver. A drop, mutalisks, ANYTHING else would've won him that game.
Good ol Troy giving us some of the worst games known to man. Great end to the series though. The winner showing he truly does deserve his spot in the finals.
game 1 had my heart RACING. that was an an insane move and almost felt like a total noob strat (i.e. someone learning and asking "so is the point of the game to try and kill your opponent's main building"?
I feel like motive plays a beautiful mid game and end game but he does way too many shenanigans early. I feel like if he makes it to the mid game not terribly behind he can win any pvz
Games like this that are like salvagable 1 in 50 cases are bad for mental health. If you're about to play final game it might be good to GG out bit earlier, then do some quick mental restart and try to go 100% on next game.
@@arivald6677 what? 1 out of 50 is more then enough chance to keep fighting.. if losing breaks your mental health then u need to work on your mental health.. not give up so easily
Really did not like the constant over the top hype where none was warranted. This Miso got manhandled like the eponymous soup in every game that wasn't a rush game.
Hey Dan if you missed my message on your other channel, I will pay you a finders fee to link me with a legit map editor for StarCraft remastered. We have edits we want to make to the NFL BLITZ ums map and we have a good budget. Can be Korean ! Let me know if you know anyone !
3:10 you should say the word "tennis" more than once, to make it easier for people to figure out what the fuck you're talking about for such a long time.
Whoever wins the finals, deserves that win.
Excellent tournament up to this point
What a series. It really had everything. Cannon rushes, zergling rushes, macro games.
New York's hottest PvZ is called "Motive vs Miso". This series has everything: cannon rushes, zergling rushes, macro games, Roman J Israel Esq.
Damn what a non-stop awesome series of games!
This is truly an incredible series and League!!
i really appreciate the fact that you listened to the comments and added name and score for the games that's awesome thank you
Corsairs seeing a scourge swarm and still step out with a "GET OFF MY LAWN!"
Absolutely loving this content
arty should open a po box so we can send him thermometers for all the chills he gets 😅
CNSL has been sick as hell!
We require more spoiler walls
not enough minerals.
Insufficient vespene gas
Spawn more Overlords
Nuclear launch detected
You must construct additional pylons
I get the feeling Brood War is like tennis the same way it's like any other two player sport imaginable.
One of the best series. So excited for the finals!!!!

Well Motive kind of forced him to make units but I think he should've contained rather than attacking.

@@Zeolot22 yeah but at least they could tank for the hydras and they build quick
He made a lot of scourge, who cost a pretty high amount of gas for their tiny size
Motive looks like a BTS member! 😂
Rumor has it, if he wins ASL they'll make him a member lol
@@DarkWeekZero what if he wins Cnsl?
He could be an ASL chair model too
0:23 Ayo Artosis I didn't know you swing that way.
Slay Arto *sis*

Motive reminds me of Mini. Looks insanely dominant but the reality is he is just cutting corners and going unpunished a lot.
Damn that 2nd game should be winnable for that guy
So damn awesome. Scan vs Motive. Are you not entertained?!
ggz!!
I love the minerals design in sc1 than sc2
LETS GO SCAN!
Troy is the most balanced map ever!

nice a p and a tvp in the finals legoooo
Motive! Go go go!
I feel like zerg needed more zearlings to clear the Dragoons
ye zvp seems super hard in the current elite meta

Too much money floating at the critical moment, despite having a good amount of production facilities.
Clutch decision to keep pushing.
4:45 Why didn't he keep his probes there as a barrier to the Nexus? Surely it would've been better to lose a few more probes than to lose the Nexus.
ZvZ is always fun to watch even when it's short and one sided.

first match is shocking. OMG.
TIL letting your hydras sit under storms for their full duration isn't a winning strategy

Doesn't bother dodging ANY storms, just a-moves like a computer. Soulkey would have won.

44 seconds! Hello!
Imagine attacking a zerg who has spine crawlers with like 3 zealots and winning. yea Zerg is stupid.
