- Finally got a break in the weather had a real good warm day and it had the gar going nuts. So we head to one of our favorite spots and turns out we picked the perfect night. The fish were as thick as we have ver seen them, if you enjoy a lot of action this is the video for you!

You guys have so many good bowfishing videos! I have been enjoying them over the last two days.
You guys want those bugs to leave you alone? Bounce dryer sheets. No shit, just safety pin them to your shirts or stick em through belt loops. Hell, tie em off on the boat in various spots even works. Those bugs will leave you alone but remain close enough to still attract the fish. This is a trick taught to me by my grandpa and has served me well for 4 decades. I go fishing or camping, and I go home without a single bug bite anywhere on me, no shit.

Brings back the memories. I used to bowfish 1st with lanterns at night, then 12 volt lights and car batteries then went to 300 and 500 watt security lights and a generator. 1st used recurves then went to Oneidas, the best bow out there. biggest needlenose gar was 29 lbs, biggest common carp was 42 lbs, biggest grass carp was 49 1/2 lbs. Now too old and crippled up to do it but still have the memories. love the set up with the boat too. I had a volkswagon engine for air drive but things went south health wise. enjoyed the video
