I loved this beautiful story how the cat saved the young man and now he is saving cats That you save cats and kittens is wonderful as well Many Blessings to you both and the rest you who help animals in need as well.
We live in Switzerland and adopted a street cat from Istanbul. Although my pawed son was kicked by an a*shole and got his leg broken, he still trusts humans and loves them. Cats are special.
Thank you, Hannah and Sarper, for everything you do! I went to Istanbul in 2015 and saw cats and kittens everywhere. That was before I started fostering kittens and I didn't think twice about it. Now I see kittens everywhere and know about the enormous global challenge. I hope to open my own rescue in the next 5 years. Just starting to figure that out.
That's awesome. I wish you the best with that project. :) If, when you open your shelter, you find yourself in need of some help, Harmony Fund is a charity that helps small independant shelters around the world. So if you're ever in need and donations aren't cutting it, try reaching out to them. ^^
Le problème est que les gens ne font pas opérer leurs chats et leurs chattes, ce qui éviterait bien des souffrances et des chatons sans domicile. De plus les chattes qui ne sont pas opérées, développent des tumeurs par la suite.
One Istanbul rescue channel that I support monthly is Adorable Paws, which does TNR, feeding, housing and medical care for many hundreds of cats, and also for "forest" dogs, every day. There's also Lucky Paws - mainly with kittens, and there's also Abdul Kerim, a tailor who has a big property for rescued dogs and cats. And of course our beloved Sarper Duman, who can be supported on Patreon 🐈🐕❤
Sedat from lucky paws like adorable paws (I think that they are brothers with onur)also spay a lot of cats . They dedicate their life to help and rescue cats. Only respect for them
I have learned so much from you. Our little feral kitty we adopted at 8 weeks now sits on my lap and my husband's lap. Callie loves belly rubs and sleeps on our bed. She turns 1 on Aug 21st.
Kediler için açtığım hiçbi video beni bu kadar ağlatmamıştı. Sarper sen artık benim kardeşimsin. Umarım hayatın boyunca ruhun kadar güzel şeylerle karşılaşırsın. ♥
Sarper is a beautiful soul. He could give the opportunity for people to donate/ buy his divine music, to help support the cats he request that need medical help.
I am so glad to know Sarper’s name and story. I first saw him playing piano with his cat on Pinterest and was touched by their mutual love. What a wonderful person Sarper is. Thank you! ❤❤❤
Also, sarpers depression story is so impactful because im starting to realize that people that rescue animals tend to have these problems like severe depressions and thoughts of s-cide. I think the correlation is that we are such deep-thinking empathetic people that we see all the horrible nastiness in the world and it makes us sad and yet we are the ones who try to do something about it. Its like we are blessed with the initiative to help but cursed with the vision to see all that needs to be fixed in the world but feel ultimately powerless. So to my other depressed animal rescuers and vegans, just hang in there. I know first hamd how hard it is ❤️
Thank you for this post. It reminded me that I am not the only animal lover/vegan who suffers immensely because of all the animal cruelty going on in the world. I don't rescue animals myself but I do support animal rights groups and animal rescue organizations through donations. Love to all my fellow animal lovers out there, hi from Canada ❤
I say the same thing and it's true I'm a physical medium and I stopped watching the news as a teen seeing abuse of power and war and wanting to fix everything and I went into a deep depression and s-cide. I started helping children by tutoring them, teaching children in After school programs Ged programs and helping women and children recognize abuse and letting them know they're not alone. I've always had a deep bond with animals they always attract to me even strays and they absolutely love me, anyone I meet that has pets they always come in for scratches and the owners are shocked because some of their pets are more solitary and don't usually get close to random people that quickly. Even babies while I'm out traveling always plays hide and seek with me and the parents when they realize they have the brightest smiles. I help children who've been molested as well I'm a shaman through tribal bloodline and healer plus reiki master I love using my gifts to help others. I recently took in a man and his dog. Although I had to part ways with him due to the person being disrespectful to my house rules I only allowed him to use my basement to get on his feet and for his poor dog, and no he wasn't a stranger it's someone I've known for years unfortunately.
Sarper is such a beautiful human with such a big heart ❤️❤️❤️ I have followed his videos for years, his bond with his cats is so adorable and sweet 😊 it's no wonder the cats adore him so much, after what he has saved them from 😻 I have also visited Istanbul and it is a beautiful city! 🕌
As a Turk and a former Istanbulite, thank you for showing this side of the story. Stray dogs have the same problems. It is very nice for our eyes to see them on the streets, it makes us happy to pet them once in a while, but unfortunately many people do not think about what their lives are like in other places out of sight.
What a beautiful video! I've been to Istanbul and have to admit I felt overwhelmed by the amount of cats (and dogs) in the streets. And I saw a lot of people caring for them, but I also thought it must be impossible to control this huge population of stray cats. I deeply respect every person helping to spay and neuter these animals and get them the medical care they need ❤
Hannah, you are amazing. You don't know how much of a great difference you make in the world. We all love and respect you so much. Thank you for all that you do.❤
So kind of you Sarper to rescue the cats. You give something special to the cats and they will give you their love, and affection in return.God Bless you and keep you in good health and safe.💗💗💗🙏🙏
Hannah, i can't express how amazing you are. Not only do you help cats in your own country but you help while on vacation too. I always think I can't do much to help but seeing your hard work is encouraging enough to get me to do whatever I can for them too!
Been watching Sarper for such a long time. His story is so powerful and he's just talented, amazing, and such a wonderful person. Thank you for bringing up the issues as it is a big problem. Same thing with cat Island in Japan. I love the idea of an island with cats but the cats are often sick, spread illnesses and sometimes there aren't enough to feed them, especially as they aren't getting fixed and are giving birth to more.
Sarper is such a lovely individual. Like many others, I'd seen his videos with his cats shared on social media, but his story is so much more important than the videos. How many other people are there -- good, kind, talented, warm-hearted people like Sarper suffering from depression? I'm glad that the magical properties of cats were able to help him. I'd love to see more efforts made to use cats as therapy animals for others in emotional distress.
Hearing everything that Sarper has gone through and then seeing his beaming smile when he finishes talking about his cat companions filled my heart with joy.
Thank you guys for everything you're doing for cats in Istanbul. Especially for that FIP cat you caught in the beginning of the video - Hannah, your video about Coco was the reason I decided to treat my own cat for FIP, and it saved his life and hes purring next to me right now. When I'm in a better financial spot Im planning to donate more to animal rescuers so people like Sarper can keep helping cats (and dogs) in need
I too, was happy after watching Kedi, but of course, reality is not a movie. I've followed Sarper for years and supported when I can. His story is so moving and encouraging. And blessings on the many rescuers and carers throughout Turkey.
I'm so glad that finally, a big influencer like you showed the other side of the "cat paradise" in İstanbul. Unfortunately, the situation is the same everywhere around Turkey; animal abuse is as common as people who look after them. Many individual rescuers try to take care of all the cats and dogs, and just like Sarper said, in this economy and overpopulation of stray animals, the number of deaths is heartbreaking.
Hello I live in Turkey too I have to disagree at least where I live there's a lot more people that take care of the street animals than there are that abused them
Thank you for sharing all of this, Kitten Lady ♥ We adopted our doggy girl, Leia, from Turkey. She sadly passed away after 12+ years of love and joy 2 weeks ago. We miss her, but she will forever be with us. Dogs also live a sad situation in Turkey, so I thank all of those amazing souls trying to help the doggies and kitties in Turkey.
Well that depends where the dog lives I actually live in Turkey I would have to slightly disagree what they do here they catch the dog they put a tag in its ear to tell you that it's had its vaccine shots and then they put the dog back on the street I know in other countries they catch the dogs and put them in jail and if someone doesn't adopt the animals sometimes they euthanize them but we don't do that here. Sure it can be difficult living on the street but people care for the animals and I think the dog would rather be running free then in animal jail and I can say from my neighborhood we have a lot of Street animals and none of them are starving
Quite frankly, both you and Sarper Duman are awesome! Thank you for this video! :) It, truly, bring tears to my eyes but so happy to have hope for the little ones in need of it.
Great compassionate people saving and caring for cats! Istanbul gained my trust and positive attitude by the selfless way they are treating all cats with so much love, empathy and devoting their financial resources. Cats are bringing the best out of people and are providing lots of love and affection and happiness
Thank you for bringing up this topic. We have four female cats in my flat's garden, and after they were neutered, their prosperity had gone well visibly. Unfortunately, most people ignore this. Their life is not easy as it looks. Despite the inflation and costly veterinarian controls, my mom and our neighbours will continue to look after them, no matter what. They're all like our friends and our child.
WOW! I was blown away with the gentle mentality towards cats in Turkey! I knew that they were cared for in many ways, but over all these dear little souls are in a beautiful place. Thank you Hannah and Sarper for the love and dedication to these babies!🙏💝🐾🐈
i really love how much time you devote in each of these travel videos to letting the local on the ground rescuers share their experiences in their own words
WOW.....I smiled...I cried....My furbaby Dylan got me thru a very dark time in my life. I miss him....he passed in 2015 at the very young age of 6. Thank you for all that you do ❤
I cringed at the sight of that cat with the prolapse! OMG I've had intestinal problems before that made my sphincter clench at the thought of how painful it must be!!! that said those cats REALLY love Mr. Sarperd. Sakir knew he was in trouble and decided to try and give him a hand. Cats know your body language a lot more than people think.
Sarper is an angel. He is so generous and kind that it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for being a hero to animals because I believe people like you make the world such a better place.
This was such a special video. I've followed Sarper Duman for years on UA-cam and have admired his compassion for these animals. But I learned so much about how many cats live in Istanbul. Also, learned how Sarper's life was actually saved by his encounter with Piano Cat. So glad this came up on my timeline❤🐈🕌 God Bless all the rescuers!!!
My cat Simon is one of the best things in my life. He loves seeing his brother s and sisters on the screen. Thank you all for your help It is inspirational.
I discovered Sarper Duman thanks to his channel, he is a good musician who like some people loves the piano he also likes cats like many of us but sincerely I did not know his story. It didn't matter to me, as long as he's happy by their side it's a treasure in his eyes. Then I told myself that I had to discover his story. When I finally understood the reason for his recognition, it touched and moved me, it's true cats feel when it's wrong... Thanks to Sakir he has regained his smile and he helps them in turn that's why I love Turkey so much for everything the inhabitants do for them so thank to them a lot
Very important video! Many cats means many issues and responsibilities. Its crucial point of view and i'm glad Kitten Lady notices another side of reality ❤

Thank you so much for making this video, to hear Sarper tell his story in his own words was very inspiring! He's one of my favorite humans on the planet.
I thank god everyday for people like you and your man kitten lady you are a bless ,also people in Istanbul i send you my love because you love cats greetings from Greece ❤❤❤
Thanks for making this great video! I have been following you as well as Sarper Duman - and I do contribute to Sarper (I contribute to you as well, but not on a continuing basis - I need to pick and choose, unfortunately). I loved seeing the interview with Sarper. So glad you know him and got to meet with him in person. ❤
This is an amazing crossover I never thought I'd see. I love what he does and seeing piano cat while he plays 😍... Seeing all his cats react to him playing is just 🥰🥰🥰... He is such a gentle soul.
The interview with Sarper Duman is so beautiful and sad and hopeful. It's amazing - it actually made me cry. What a beautiful human
I loved this beautiful story how the cat saved the young man and now he is saving cats That you save cats and kittens is wonderful as well Many Blessings to you both and the rest you who help animals in need as well.
Sarper Duman je jedno predivno humano stvorenje puno ljubavi prema životinjama i prema muzici...Obožavam ga i volela bih da mi bude gost u Subotici❤❤❤
Me too as soon as I saw who it was I started bawling.
Same, I cried too!
We live in Switzerland and adopted a street cat from Istanbul. Although my pawed son was kicked by an a*shole and got his leg broken, he still trusts humans and loves them. Cats are special.
Mort à celui qui lui a fait ça !
So glad to hear that more are being neutered. My cats are indoor cats but all of them male and female have been nuetered.
Thank you, Hannah and Sarper, for everything you do! I went to Istanbul in 2015 and saw cats and kittens everywhere. That was before I started fostering kittens and I didn't think twice about it. Thank you Sarper; harika insan 🤗🥰
🥲😢 hassas ve iyi huylu bir insansn. Bence bu kadın ve Sarper gibi insanlar daha çok olmalı.
Sarper’s cats are musical connoisseurs.
I can't wait to see the project that Andrew is working on with these trips! Sarper playing piano with the cats was beautiful
Sarper is a pretty inspiring guy. He's had the lowest of lows and now he's found a calling!
