Ive been lucky enough to see Vortex perform at least a dozen times. Great shows with a lot of headbanging going around. During the live recording from the Holland Heavy Metal album, 20 attenders, the singer jumped on stage, split his pants in two, his dingdong peeped out, stopped the show, left the stage, propably didnt have a spare, everybody had to wait, somehow found a pant and continued the recordings. Great attitude while his wig was wiggling about. Sad Iron, whom also performed, had to do part of their set again due to the classic mistake that noone noticed they'd run out of tape while the band played on. I just love the old days....

this song was hunting me for over 30 years,first time i heard this back in Poland in mid 80s,then i came to usa and forgot the band name but remember the title,well i could not find it anywhere until today,thank you.
Singer looks like a combination of Pete Burns (Dead Or Alive) and Fish (Marillion) singing into King Diamond's microphone.

I remember in their early days they got lot of bad press for being a bad Mercyyful Fate clone.

The only remaining members are Martjo and Jurjen the rest of us our new! well i (Henk de Tank) am in the band for 11 years playing drums, Orion Roos Guitar is in the band for 6 years and René van Zonnefeld bass is playing for 4 years with us.
Vortex, Heavy Metal I thought the drummer was Marco Foddis from Pestilence.

He said something of the likes that it was sent in by you guys ( dunno how they normally got their vids ) and that eventhough the quality of the video wasnt too good, they were gonna air it anyway :D I even remember being amazed at seeing those motorcycles with dutch plates on em. No but we want to record a new one for our new album Wat will come out the end of may. Most likely it will be the title track "Drink Bat Blood" . first ideas for a clip are being filtered by the band at the moment.

Just the other night I've dreamt about that the bass player was my supervisor at my job and he was a really funny guy with a great personality and he was making the same facial expressions like he did at 2:07 whenever someone wasn't getting their work done!
