How did they come across STING? Beautiful SONG,beautiful VIDEO, everyone and everything is perfect here. Surprised I didn’t luck into video until 5 years ago, watched my fair share of headbangers ball
I am a high school math teacher. During Covid, I play tunes before classes start and I have themes for each day. This is playing before my classes on "Thrashing Thursdays."
Lol, some years ago where I work, we themed every day of the week for something metal. Our Thursdays matched. It was: Moshing Moday, Twisted Tuesday, Wicked Wednesday, Thrashing Thursday and Fretboard Frying Friday (shred guitar day).
So many great forgotten and underrated bands of this time... Laaz Rockit, Powermad, Nuclear Assault, Toxik, Oliver Magnum, Wrath, Avenger, Vengeance (yeah I know Vengeance was christian metal but I still liked them lol)... Back in the day I loved digging through the 1.00 tape bin for unknown metal bands at Camelot Music lol.

I love Lääz Rockit but they they're not most awesome material. Most awesome thrash band of all time goes to FUCKING SLAYER hands down. Overkill and Exodus are tied for second. Death Angel & Metal Church are tied for third and Megadeth & Metallica fill the fourth spot. Seeing Slayer, Overkill or Exodus live in the 80's was a religious experience.
@@mikecarter8880 I remember they weren't as huge in the mid-west as some of the other thrash bands at the time. So I thought I was cool back then because I was into them. I even had an "Annihilation Priciple" t shirt. Haha
Yeah, totally forgot about them. Even had most of their stuff, but for some reason I simply don't ever think about them. Going to have to dig back in the dusty archives and give them another shot!
Yeah, @Steely666, I think their name worked against them. Great power metal but the name is very glam. I happened to pick up their album "Know Your Enemy" on cassette in 1987 and became an instant fan. \m/
This was the song that first got me into laaz rockit, saw it on headbangers ball back in 89. God damn those were the days, before the ball got ruined with grunge!!
Great memories, great times! It's hard to even find good Metal anymore. I would have totally given up on modern Metal if only Metal Church didn't make such an amazing CD last year.
I was almost hoping that Sting would put the singer in his Scorpion Deathlock! (joking). Great thrash from Lääz Rockit, one of the criminally overlooked bands of the era.
I have always loved umlolots over a rock band's name, and as long as I have been an obsessive and avid fan of heavy metal music, I had always heard of this band, and thought that it looked cool spelled out, but am JUST NOW HEARING THEM! Killer group! I was mainly a glam fan of the early 80's California metal scene, but fancied some thrash, too!
True Story. Sting was actually a big Thrash Metal and overall metal fan and listened to their shit. He would hang out with Kerry when Slayer would be in Atlanta, and would get him backstage to WCW. He would be backstage at Metallica gigs. He would regularly go to gigs in the Atlanta area and when he had a night off on the road. Cool hearing that.
I was a huge wrestling fan back when this video came out and I still never recognized Sting in this video. Mainly cuz I was too into the song and really didn't pay attention to the video. It wasn't til about seeing this video a couple of years ago for the first time since the early 90s that I noticed immediately that soldier was Sting and felt so lame for not noticing it back then lol
80's thrash metal kick's ass!!! It's a lot better than alot of the stuff out there these days, back in the 80's they actually used more creative talent with awesome solos where they actually used creative change up's unlike these days, where they have guitar solos but yet it seems like they can't find the talent now days to do any good change ups any more.
My brother Jeff Sadowski did all of their artwork and went on tour with them in Japan. They were in his wedding,,, awesome bunch of dudes!!
What are they doing now a days ?
Awesome, nostalgic artwork
You forgot to mention ur mum was a groupie for the band and gave them all a blow job before each show 🤘
I had the shirt for it, still own the tape!
