BTW if you cut off enough. You can use the cuttoff piece to grind the pad. No worry of damaging the finish...

Thanks for the tip. only issue you may run in to is if the stock is not symmetrical left to right, but it would get you close. Thanks for watching.

Go slow, take your time and I'm sure it will come out well for you. Most mistakes are made when we get impatient and lose concentration.

Have fun! Thanks for watching. Currently working on refinishing the stock now. Depending on how fast the finish dries will determine when video drops.

Nice job. I need to do that on mine. Just shot it at the range today & thought the same thing. Pull seems too long & I'm 6ft.

Can a synthetic stock be cut down?

    • @paulmazan4909

Most can be but it depends on the construction of the stock

Why can I see daylight between the pad and the stock.. At the beginning of this schist show the stock had no dents or scratches. What a butcher. That was actually a nicely grained stock for a 500. But now it’s garbage. But the owner claims he’s going to shoot skeet with it an make a riot gun out of it. He doesn’t know the difference between skeet and trap.

He’s not even a good bull schist artist.
