I’d like it better is the corpse was a biome after you’ve beaten it. Would be a lot better for your seed if you didn’t need to stand one every time you ran low on those blocks

The most frightening aspect of this mod is its accuracy to the source material. You can't fight it, you can only survive long enough for it to provide you with the means to defeat it. Until the symbionts are summoned, there is no safety. The mod also does a great job getting the plot complication of Wither Sickness involved in gameplay. Overall it's an amazing recreation of something that wasn't even meant to be possible.
I love how official minecraft devs take eons to add in small, benign mobs like frogs and allays, while modders take like a few months tops to make godlike bosses.
seriously I have never seen an updated game get so little content in such little drops like MC. Its good updates aren't paid because if so MC would be so fucking lame it would be a hilarious joke on the industry. I really don't know how Mojang can feel good as devs working on the game adding the most random incredibly easy to develop shit only to see a 12 year old modder make something incredible in like, two weeks?
They made a statement about this and basically the reason it takes them long to update minecraft is the consideration of new items being added bc obviously the items added in the game will be permanantly added on the main game itself and also the bugfixing on interactions towards the games content
Crackers Wither Storm is better than the entirety of the 1.19 update, atleast to me. The Warden is pretty scary, but you haven't felt true fear until the Wither Storm hits stage 4 & it all the sudden gains a huge speed boost, while you were just casually looting a village.
Physically walking on the Wither Storm's corpse as actual blocks was a REALLY cool and innovative idea. I'd have liked to see this corpse structure appear again after its final death instead of just disappearing.
I remember when a bunch of those wither storm mods came out, but they were just a giant mob that just flew around and shot stuff, nothing really notable. This though? This is actually insane. THIS is what the wither storm being in Minecraft would be like. An intense, destructive monster that takes the absolute peak of player skill to defeat. It's insane. Kinda wish story mode had another cool monster like this. Maybe we'll get to see a PAMA mod next?
I was smiling the whole way through while watching this I love the detail in this mod - the phases of the storm, how it can be distracted by fireworks like how Lulas and the Ocelots did, even having the thing become THREE after you kill it. It must’ve taken a long time to program this and make it work, but it’s absolutely worth it imo As a huge fan of MCSM this video covering the mod really made my day
@@CrimsonGamingMC same this is like THE BEST only a true twisted mind would make such a thing but yet it exists in the center of everything but that traval alone only means the true heartless would activate such a thing. but once active, its always, its always loading chunks makes this intresting as in time it will start to HUNT for people, infecting everything with the sickness.
I remember like a couple months after I played story mode back in 2015, I looked for a mod that had the wither storm in it. There was a few, but none were even close to this. I am extremely happy for this mod even 7 years later
This does dread and fear right. Unlike a certain parasite mod this is well-balanced and completely beatable, even giving you a way to completely destroy it. But your still scared shitless of it because it's slowly ripping your world up trying to find and kill you no matter where you are. You can hide, but that's all you can do until you are in a position to destroy it. And even while hiding, the Wither Sickness still reminds you it's always out there.
This is everything 12 year old me would've wanted from a Wither Storm mod back when I first saw MC:SM. This mod does the source material justice and even expands on to it. The fact that the storm is loaded even if you're hundreds of blocks away is both terrifying and amazing.

1:26 Seeing it looming in the distance like that is absolutely spectacular. This mod hardly feels real, and it's super nostalgic. The modding community has been bringing us some fantastic stuff as of late.

i remember googling "minecraft wither storm mod" in 2016, only to find out there wasnt a mod for that, i was very disappointed until i found out that the engender mod adds this, but now ive found out about this and this is absolutely amazing, this is exactly what i wanted for so long
I could imagine an SMP with this as the finale boss. Like everyone is spread throughout the world, they've all have these buildings and all, then boom, witherstorm suddenly appeared and is destroying everything on its path, but no one knows this yet. The server owner calls all the members to log in the server for a "final episode", but it's all a trick to lure them in one place for the witherstorm to go towards that direction.
It'd be nice if you can attract the eye beams towards endermen to have them aggro towards the Wither Storm and pick off blocks from it and make the hole appear earlier, as a reference to how the hole was created in the first place back in Story Mode.
The withee storm was so fuckimg based because it made the hardest boss in minecraft way more terrifying. The whole thing resembles a tumor. Eating away and bloating itself. Insatiable. Unkillable. From its searchlights to its Tentacles made it feel eldritch. Truely was perfect for what minecraft was back in the day. Not some silly game with cute pandas :3. Something subliminal, lonely and unforgiving
I love how ANY structure mod could go well with this for the sole fact you can watch the storm destroy modded buildings. Especially Lost Cities and When Dungeons Arise.
Honestly, the Wither Storm is one of the most overwhelming things I have ever seen, like, it's constantly chasing you down, and it will eat the whole world to get to you, and that banger theme doesn't help either, and I am happy that people still acknowledge what Minecraft: Story Mode is. And an expanded version of this mod (which explores more of MCSM) would be incredibly awesome.
They did a really, REALLY good job implementing the phases of the Storm properly in this mod, and the idea of it's defeat being tied to the plot of MCSM just makes it that much better! I hope to see more from this mod's creator in the future!!
It's just rubbing the salt in the wound when you have a working copy that you bought and yet wasn't able to get the adventure pass before it was taken off sale.
This mod was like a movie that doesn't seem to end and has so much to offer, I'm surprised you were able to cover so much in so little time with those cinematic shots while explaining everything. Amazing video Crimson and great work by the developers this was great!
The Wither Storm is seriously the stuff of nightmares. It looks overwhelmingly _terrifying._ This mod does it an unbelievable amount of justice, and so much more. I'm so glad. This is a long-time dream come true.
This brings me back to the days of crazy giant modded mob bosses. This is so well done. Finally we get a high effort Witherstorm mod in mordern versions of Minecraft
This is by far the coolest mod I've ever seen. The way the wither looms over the horizon in the distance is terrifying and I love how accurate it is to mcsm while also expanding on it too. Seeing a mod like this brings me so much joy
Dear god... I've wanted this in the game ever since I first saw it, but thought "Unfortunately, there's no way something like that could be implemented into the game." Not only was I proven wrong, but also impressed tenfold. The true final boss. I love intimidating designs like this. I have a huge weakness for spotlight eyes.
Whenever scape and run gets updated, this is the perfect mod to run alongside it. Imagine for a moment, the parasites have reached a late phase and all hope seems lost. You sigh to yourself, *"Damn, guess I have no other choice"* before returning to 0,0 and unleashing the wither storm apon the world, at later phases it even summons a parasite of its own as it consumes all of the parasites corrupted terrain down to bedrock.

I feel like this mod does justice to the source material, the way it destroys all in it's path makes me feel it is super accurate to what The Wither Storm really is capable of. There is tons of reasons I love this mod, but the biggest reason is i'm a big fan of The Wither Storm and in extension, the entire original source game.
I've been following this mod for a while & I can confidently say that it is one of the best Minecraft mods ever. It does the Wither Storm justice by not only replicating Minecraft Story Mode to a concerning degree, but it also takes creative liberties where necessary to make the Wither Storm a truly imposing threat. If I could though there are a few things I would tweak. - Give the barrels in the abandoned house a chance to spawn a potion of swiftness, leaping or invisibility. In my playtime with the Wither Storm mod I found it a bit too hard to run away from the Wither Storm (atleast in Hardcore mode). The house already provides a crafting table & a bunch of paper, so a potion to help you out wouldn't hurt. - Add an advancement if you beat the Command Block with only a hoe as your command block weapon. It could be named something like "way too much dedication". - If it's even possible, add an advancement if you bring a pig into the Wither Storm. I think you could do it with an Elytra & a lead, or some other convoluted method. - Add the White Pumpkin mask & the Redstone Heart as creative mode exclusive blocks for fun! They wouldn't do anything other than look pretty. - Give the Withered Nether Star a use. Overall crackers Wither Storm mod is phenomenal! I can't wait to see future updates.

Its really cool how after the formidibomb it spawns it in as its own full blown entity before waking up again, not only that but the mechanics and even the dimension and all that, this is definitly a must mod for me since I always felt disappointed in the bosses for my maps, but also modpacks, not only that but I can think of ways to make players in my worlds work together to defeat a basically unbeatable monstrosity. Only wish that when you killed it you not only got the star but the body of the beast is actually left behind somewhere.
The super tnt has a radius 2x bigger than normal tnt it also can be combined with potions so anyone who gets catch by the explosion gain the effect. It works the same as the lingering potion and many effects can be equipped at once. The formidbomb has the same radius as the nuclear bomb, but it does not give the irradiated effect, instead it has the same function as the super tnt.
Just from the video this thing seems like the epitome of good sandbox boss design. The fact that it is always pursuing you, always devastating the landscape, and is effectively a force of nature defines it as a threat and its defeat should be the highest priority goal. Just seeing it drawing nearer and nearer, forcing you to build quick and always be ready to move until youre ready for a fight, adds a lot to your experience. The symbiote fights are also well thought. The ever-anomalous nature of the wither sickness must be faced now, and the reward is quite notable. The final fight is what sold me. A set environment makes it hard to cheese the boss (though, Im sure its not impossible). You still got your usual ways to interact with the game, and it just acts like a great final boss reintroducing the mechanics in an increasingly frantic fight. And it isnt solely a QTE
You can cheese the final part, or make it a lot easier. Just build 3 staircases going up exactly where the platform rises each 3 times, and a platform below the whole mini island so you don’t fall down, and ladders that take you back up. Then each stage just enderpearl to the staircase or wait a bit. You can finish it in like 45 seconds.
this is my childhood dream come true. I always wanted a Witherstorm mod in the game, and this went above and beyond what I wanted out of that childhood wish. I'll definitely get this mod and experience this nostalgic monster like I always wanted to.
I wish this mod came out 6 years ago, when I was a huge Minecraft Story Mode fan... That's just incredible. I remember there was a mod on 1.9 which had Wither Storm. But this mod is a whole new level. It's finally can be beaten in survival. Even all the stages from Story Mode are here... oh crap, I think I need to try this out.
what would make this mod better is that there's Soren's massive base just like in the story and only one spawns in each world. then you have to traverse the base and go to the end and find the custom modded items to make the formidibomb instead of making it with classic gunpowder and blaze powder edit: but yeah that would take a long time to code and structure designs, but I hope it will get added in future updates
It would be awesome!, I would also like Ivor's secret lab with the enchanted book, maybe making that it spawns really far and that u need an special compass or smthing like that to locate it, because symbionts are a weird idea that doesn't fit with MCSM, and also making that the command block bossfight literally rotates the fighting arena trough phases, but as u said, it's hard to code.
@@Wadelmer maybe they could add the potion, and call it "Unknown Potion" or something like that. if you throw it at the wither storm it does nothing as it was swapped out with another potion like in the game

Man this is a good mod. We always love it when people make mods based of the spinoff games exclusive stuff. Though we kinda wish the drops for killing the Wither Storm was a bit more rewarding, like a upgraded Wither Star the can give your weapons or armor the property of the Wither effect like if you attack a mod (or a mob physical hits you) it will get the wither effect or something similar to that.

@@nonamecrackers2 the sickness is a really cool idea, but i feel like it's a bit undermined by the fact that you can just use a bed, put your stuff in a chest and die to get rid of it. That would not be a problem in hardcore, but let's be honest, very few of us are actually good enough to beat this mod without dying. So maybe a server config to determine whether or not it persists after death would be a good idea?
The mod is so well done it almost feels like this should be in the official game (almost). And one more thing, you have one amazing voice and great commentary. This makes this video two times worth watching.
Omg I love how this actually somewhat follows the plot of Minecraft Story Mode. You have to craft a Formidibomb to weaken it, but then it sikes you out and wakes up. Then you have to create a command block tool to kill it!
this mods quality is very high tier, reminds me of how crazy scape and run parasites were when i saw them the first time, people should keep developing more mods that work towards that sortta fear of the unknown type deal, if someone told me to download this mod and i had no idea about it, id actually shit bricks seeing that thing flying towards me. You can also use this command to set the wither storm's phase (replace x with 0-7): /witherstormmod phase set @e[type=witherstormmod:wither_storm,limit=1] x And you can also change the speed at which the storm grows in the world config settings!

There's a small mod I use that adds effects to my screen, like blood if I take damage or a flashbang if an explosion happens nearby. Compatibility with that mod would be awesome and could help visualize the new effect. The mod is called EnchancedVisuals.
Me and my friend ran a short smp with this mod and it was a blast. It was fun to go through a familiar yet different challenge. The only issue is that you need to import a world with the 0,0 house already in it or else phase 6 won’t work via commands.
I love how its the exact same as MCSM its very cool, the animations and details. It would actually be cool if you can actually get inside the storm by getting sucked in by those beams after it splits in to 3 just like in story mode
Most people thought it was the UA-camr cameo episode was the only good thing that came out of it but I also thought the storm was very memorable same with the other episodes imo
I downloaded this. The second it went from phase 2 to phase 3 (I was keeping my eye on it) i was terrified and approached the nearest cave, in which I fell to my death. The music is a constant buildup, and whenever it starts playing I start running. An absolutely perfect mod.
Love this, pretty faithful to Story Mode although some bits were changed, like the Formidibomb requiring Blaze Powder and the Withered Symbiont is a new thing.
if you light the f bomb while the wither storm is still on stage 4, it wont split into 3 wither storms. however, if you hit the command block, only stage 7 will have 3 wither storms, making it easier to escape when it comes back to life.
Genuinely one of the coolest mods I've seen in a LONG time. All the way back to 1.12, maybe even 1.6 it feels like since I've seen a mod with this kind of energy.

My only complaint is that the inside of the Wither Storm doesn't flip upside down when the Command Block is on its last hit like in the original, but then again we're probably not ready for a mod that does that just yet
Damn this mod looks amazing! I remember a countless amount of the "wither storm" copy mods which had little effort put into them, often being very buggy. You did a real good job!
these are the kinda bosses Ive always wanted to see in minecraft. Something that actually tests the player on their abilities in the mechanics of the game, rather than just a big monster that has a lot of health and you kinda just wack over and over. I hope we see more like this in the future. My only complaint is that I wish the building aspect in the final boss was more in-depth, like maybe it moves MUCH higher, and you need to build quickly before it becomes invulnerable and each time you hit it, it gets higher each phase. Testing your building and water bucket skill.
This is genuinely one of the coolest things I have _ever_ seen. This is literally a dream come true for me, and so much more. Absolutely fantastic mod. I love it.
Fun Fact: The Wither Symbiont (The Wither Symbionts Yes there is more then one in any mobs and peoples even ones that are eaten by The Wither Storm) was actually planned to be in the actual Minecraft Story Mode Season 1 and 2 game And will be around and also alive still (Even when The Wither storm is dead in mobs and groups and mob groups even people as well) around Episode 1 (When it was first summoned) to in the beginning of the ending part of Season 2 Episode 4. But that was scrapped and cancelled and removed because It resembles too much like Slenderman, Venom from Spider-Man and some Resident Evil virues that gives fleshy tentacles and Resident Evil viruses. Plus Ivor Wither Storm plan was actually different from this one We have right now forever The Command Block was also programed to go after everyone If The wither storm got the amulet and make The Wither Symbiont as well even after The Wither Storm makes one even after death as well. Plus there was supposed to be a Monster that's created after The Wither Storm's death to be the cause of The Wither Symbiont and It's also to be a virus all cause by the new monster. What happens if the new monster dies: All The Wither Symbiont mobs and people go back to normal and The virus infected ones are back to normal but lose all of their memories completely and The Virus gets disinfected and disintegrate into nothing but normal again. The virus was also cancelled and scrapped and removed even Ivor original Wither Storm because The virus was way too similar to other viruses from horror games and That plan would be enough to make Jesse actually kill him. (All confirmed by The Creator and was tweeted about that around midnight of long time ago, But deleted because It was a secret tweet post and I don't have screenshots and stuff like that for proof sadly and True Story by the way)
This is a really cool mod, I can imagine Mojang watching this video and being pleased for the amount of hard work that has been put into the mod. If they ever decide to add the Wither Storm as the new boss in the game, killing it will cause the player to receive the "true ending", where the player wakes up for a second time due to a horrible nightmare. Like the Ender Dragon, players can grab Wither storm breath using empty bottles to brew Wither+ potions, which they can be used to splash other players and mobs for the sickness effect. Wither skeletons and the Wither itself are immune to the sickness effect and normal skeletons with the wither effect will gradually turn into a wither skeleton. Also, every world will contain roughly 3 command blocks that are stored inside temples (jungle or dessert) as legendary treasure loot. Since command blocks are unobtainable through crafting, they would have to search temples in order to find it. Since a world is infinite with 30M blocks surrounding each axis, there can be an item that is used to track the nearest command block, it acts like a compass or the special maps used to find woodland mansions or ocean monuments. Yes, 3 command blocks is very little and can be a challenge, but the reward for receiving unbreakable tools/armor + overpowered potions + unique blocks pays out. I doubt all of the things that I said would become real features since most people play Minecraft for its creativity, but the idea of being able to receive a true ending upon killing the Wither storm would wrap up the storybooks for a Minecraft world, since it's likely that the player has done everything while they locate the command blocks.

Oh yeah that's spot on, it's exactly the same. Additionally, the only time you can get a clean hit off on the symbiont is during its recharge state. The only time you can get a hit off on the wroughtnaut is when the boss gets his axe stuck

in the original game after the wither storm was killed it exploded and all its body parts fell from the sky and spread around the ground i think

I love the detail in this mod - the phases of the storm, how it can be distracted by fireworks like how Lulas and the Ocelots did, even having the thing become THREE after you kill it. It must’ve taken a long time to program this and make it work, but it’s absolutely worth it imo
As a huge fan of MCSM this video covering the mod really made my day
After blowing up the storm and having it become actual blocks on the ground is what surprised me the most. I love this mod so much!

I remember like a couple months after I played story mode back in 2015, I looked for a mod that had the wither storm in it. There was a few, but none were even close to this. I am extremely happy for this mod even 7 years later
I think the wither storm should be flying lower as in story mode it’s low down at the ground and the rings that are going around it should be 3d

This does dread and fear right. Unlike a certain parasite mod this is well-balanced and completely beatable, even giving you a way to completely destroy it. But your still scared shitless of it because it's slowly ripping your world up trying to find and kill you no matter where you are. You can hide, but that's all you can do until you are in a position to destroy it. And even while hiding, the Wither Sickness still reminds you it's always out there.
This is also the feeling i got for the characters in Story Mode.

This is everything 12 year old me would've wanted from a Wither Storm mod back when I first saw MC:SM. This mod does the source material justice and even expands on to it. The fact that the storm is loaded even if you're hundreds of blocks away is both terrifying and amazing.
The chunk loading and the distance visibility just make this mod perfect

I could imagine an SMP with this as the finale boss. Like everyone is spread throughout the world, they've all have these buildings and all, then boom, witherstorm suddenly appeared and is destroying everything on its path, but no one knows this yet. The server owner calls all the members to log in the server for a "final episode", but it's all a trick to lure them in one place for the witherstorm to go towards that direction.

It'd be nice if you can attract the eye beams towards endermen to have them aggro towards the Wither Storm and pick off blocks from it and make the hole appear earlier, as a reference to how the hole was created in the first place back in Story Mode.
There are like options to show the blocks being ripped from the wither storm without endermen I’m pretty sure

The withee storm was so fuckimg based because it made the hardest boss in minecraft way more terrifying. The whole thing resembles a tumor. Eating away and bloating itself. Insatiable. Unkillable.
From its searchlights to its Tentacles made it feel eldritch. Truely was perfect for what minecraft was back in the day. Not some silly game with cute pandas :3.

Honestly, the Wither Storm is one of the most overwhelming things I have ever seen, like, it's constantly chasing you down, and it will eat the whole world to get to you, and that banger theme doesn't help either, and I am happy that people still acknowledge what Minecraft: Story Mode is.
And an expanded version of this mod (which explores more of MCSM) would be incredibly awesome.
It’s so sad that Minecraft Story Mode has been wiped clean from the internet. There is almost no trace of it and I just love this mod

The Wither Storm is seriously the stuff of nightmares. It looks overwhelmingly _terrifying._ This mod does it an unbelievable amount of justice, and so much more. I'm so glad. This is a long-time dream come true.
This brings me back to the days of crazy giant modded mob bosses. This is so well done. Finally we get a high effort Witherstorm mod in mordern versions of Minecraft

This is by far the coolest mod I've ever seen. The way the wither looms over the horizon in the distance is terrifying and I love how accurate it is to mcsm while also expanding on it too. Seeing a mod like this brings me so much joy

Dear god... I've wanted this in the game ever since I first saw it, but thought "Unfortunately, there's no way something like that could be implemented into the game." Not only was I proven wrong, but also impressed tenfold. The true final boss. I love intimidating designs like this. I have a huge weakness for spotlight eyes.

Whenever scape and run gets updated, this is the perfect mod to run alongside it.
Imagine for a moment, the parasites have reached a late phase and all hope seems lost. You sigh to yourself, *"Damn, guess I have no other choice"* before returning to 0,0 and unleashing the wither storm apon the world, at later phases it even summons a parasite of its own as it consumes all of the parasites corrupted terrain down to bedrock.
I love the idea of the wither storm being the "final resort" to beating the parasites. If I'm going down I'm taking all of you with me

I feel like this mod does justice to the source material, the way it destroys all in it's path makes me feel it is super accurate to what The Wither Storm really is capable of. There is tons of reasons I love this mod, but the biggest reason is i'm a big fan of The Wither Storm and in extension, the entire original source game.
There’s also a bug with OptiFine and the wither storm’s chunk loader. You need to turn off smooth world rendering.

I've been following this mod for a while & I can confidently say that it is one of the best Minecraft mods ever. It does the Wither Storm justice by not only replicating Minecraft Story Mode to a concerning degree, but it also takes creative liberties where necessary to make the Wither Storm a truly imposing threat. If I could though there are a few things I would tweak.
- Give the barrels in the abandoned house a chance to spawn a potion of swiftness, leaping or invisibility. In my playtime with the Wither Storm mod I found it a bit too hard to run away from the Wither Storm (atleast in Hardcore mode). The house already provides a crafting table & a bunch of paper, so a potion to help you out wouldn't hurt.
- Add an advancement if you beat the Command Block with only a hoe as your command block weapon. It could be named something like "way too much dedication".
- If it's even possible, add an advancement if you bring a pig into the Wither Storm. I think you could do it with an Elytra & a lead, or some other convoluted method.
- Add the White Pumpkin mask & the Redstone Heart as creative mode exclusive blocks for fun! They wouldn't do anything other than look pretty.
- Give the Withered Nether Star a use.
Overall crackers Wither Storm mod is phenomenal! I can't wait to see future updates.

@@shinymk6562 yeah, those are the three potions Ivor had during the bonus episodes. I was gonna mention that it was meant to be a reference to Ivor, but I was already talking about the potions for long enough.
Its really cool how after the formidibomb it spawns it in as its own full blown entity before waking up again, not only that but the mechanics and even the dimension and all that, this is definitly a must mod for me since I always felt disappointed in the bosses for my maps, but also modpacks, not only that but I can think of ways to make players in my worlds work together to defeat a basically unbeatable monstrosity.
Only wish that when you killed it you not only got the star but the body of the beast is actually left behind somewhere.
A few other people wished the corpse remained as well. It'd be a cool land mark or a way to harvest the mod's blocks

The super tnt has a radius 2x bigger than normal tnt it also can be combined with potions so anyone who gets catch by the explosion gain the effect. It works the same as the lingering potion and many effects can be equipped at once.
The formidbomb has the same radius as the nuclear bomb, but it does not give the irradiated effect, instead it has the same function as the super tnt.
Just from the video this thing seems like the epitome of good sandbox boss design. The fact that it is always pursuing you, always devastating the landscape, and is effectively a force of nature defines it as a threat and its defeat should be the highest priority goal. Just seeing it drawing nearer and nearer, forcing you to build quick and always be ready to move until youre ready for a fight, adds a lot to your experience.
The symbiote fights are also well thought. The ever-anomalous nature of the wither sickness must be faced now, and the reward is quite notable.
The final fight is what sold me. A set environment makes it hard to cheese the boss (though, Im sure its not impossible). You still got your usual ways to interact with the game, and it just acts like a great final boss reintroducing the mechanics in an increasingly frantic fight.
And it isnt solely a QTE
You can cheese the final part, or make it a lot easier. Just build 3 staircases going up exactly where the platform rises each 3 times, and a platform below the whole mini island so you don’t fall down, and ladders that take you back up. Then each stage just enderpearl to the staircase or wait a bit. You can finish it in like 45 seconds.
I remember the goosebumps that I got when the storm showed it's final phase in the story mode, this brings me back, thank you.
this is my childhood dream come true. I always wanted a Witherstorm mod in the game, and this went above and beyond what I wanted out of that childhood wish. I'll definitely get this mod and experience this nostalgic monster like I always wanted to.
I wish this mod came out 6 years ago, when I was a huge Minecraft Story Mode fan... That's just incredible. I remember there was a mod on 1.9 which had Wither Storm. But this mod is a whole new level. It's finally can be beaten in survival. Even all the stages from Story Mode are here... oh crap, I think I need to try this out.

what would make this mod better is that there's Soren's massive base just like in the story and only one spawns in each world. then you have to traverse the base and go to the end and find the custom modded items to make the formidibomb instead of making it with classic gunpowder and blaze powder
edit: but yeah that would take a long time to code and structure designs, but I hope it will get added in future updates
To be fair, in MCSM, the crafting recipe for the F-Bomb was Spuer TNT with gunpowder all around, so this is actually an improvement
It would be awesome!, I would also like Ivor's secret lab with the enchanted book, maybe making that it spawns really far and that u need an special compass or smthing like that to locate it, because symbionts are a weird idea that doesn't fit with MCSM, and also making that the command block bossfight literally rotates the fighting arena trough phases, but as u said, it's hard to code.

Man this is a good mod. We always love it when people make mods based of the spinoff games exclusive stuff. Though we kinda wish the drops for killing the Wither Storm was a bit more rewarding, like a upgraded Wither Star the can give your weapons or armor the property of the Wither effect like if you attack a mod (or a mob physical hits you) it will get the wither effect or something similar to that.
The mod dev is planning something for the withered nether star so it will have a use eventually!

@@nonamecrackers2 the sickness is a really cool idea, but i feel like it's a bit undermined by the fact that you can just use a bed, put your stuff in a chest and die to get rid of it. That would not be a problem in hardcore, but let's be honest, very few of us are actually good enough to beat this mod without dying. So maybe a server config to determine whether or not it persists after death would be a good idea?

Omg I love how this actually somewhat follows the plot of Minecraft Story Mode. You have to craft a Formidibomb to weaken it, but then it sikes you out and wakes up. Then you have to create a command block tool to kill it!
this mods quality is very high tier, reminds me of how crazy scape and run parasites were when i saw them the first time, people should keep developing more mods that work towards that sortta fear of the unknown type deal, if someone told me to download this mod and i had no idea about it, id actually shit bricks seeing that thing flying towards me. So well made!
If I ever get around to making a horror modpack I'm definitely adding SRP and cracker's wither storm to it. Hopefully SRP will be for 1.16.5 by then

You can also use this command to set the wither storm's phase (replace x with 0-7):

And you can also change the speed at which the storm grows in the world config settings!

There's a small mod I use that adds effects to my screen, like blood if I take damage or a flashbang if an explosion happens nearby. Compatibility with that mod would be awesome and could help visualize the new effect.

Me and my friend ran a short smp with this mod and it was a blast. It was fun to go through a familiar yet different challenge. The only issue is that you need to import a world with the 0,0 house already in it or else phase 6 won’t work via commands.

I downloaded this. The second it went from phase 2 to phase 3 (I was keeping my eye on it) i was terrified and approached the nearest cave, in which I fell to my death. The music is a constant buildup, and whenever it starts playing I start running.

Love this, pretty faithful to Story Mode although some bits were changed, like the Formidibomb requiring Blaze Powder and the Withered Symbiont is a new thing.
Love how this works just like the one in MCSM! Seeing the storm revive was freakin wild. Can't wait to see this included in modpacks!
if you light the f bomb while the wither storm is still on stage 4, it wont split into 3 wither storms. however, if you hit the command block, only stage 7 will have 3 wither storms, making it easier to escape when it comes back to life.
This is all I ever wanted being a MCSM fan I'm impressed by this mod so much wish someone one day makes a series with this mod
Genuinely one of the coolest mods I've seen in a LONG time. All the way back to 1.12, maybe even 1.6 it feels like since I've seen a mod with this kind of energy.

This is an amazing mod! The Wither Storm is honestly the coolest thing to come out of Story Mode. Such an interesting concept.
these are the kinda bosses Ive always wanted to see in minecraft. Something that actually tests the player on their abilities in the mechanics of the game, rather than just a big monster that has a lot of health and you kinda just wack over and over. I hope we see more like this in the future. My only complaint is that I wish the building aspect in the final boss was more in-depth, like maybe it moves MUCH higher, and you need to build quickly before it becomes invulnerable and each time you hit it, it gets higher each phase. Testing your building and water bucket skill.

Fun Fact: The Wither Symbiont (The Wither Symbionts Yes there is more then one in any mobs and peoples even ones that are eaten by The Wither Storm) was actually planned to be in the actual Minecraft Story Mode Season 1 and 2 game And will be around and also alive still (Even when The Wither storm is dead in mobs and groups and mob groups even people as well) around Episode 1 (When it was first summoned) to in the beginning of the ending part of Season 2 Episode 4.
But that was scrapped and cancelled and removed because It resembles too much like Slenderman, Venom from Spider-Man and some Resident Evil virues that gives fleshy tentacles and Resident Evil viruses.
Plus Ivor Wither Storm plan was actually different from this one We have right now forever The Command Block was also programed to go after everyone If The wither storm got the amulet and make The Wither Symbiont as well even after The Wither Storm makes one even after death as well.
Plus there was supposed to be a Monster that's created after The Wither Storm's death to be the cause of The Wither Symbiont and It's also to be a virus all cause by the new monster.
What happens if the new monster dies: All The Wither Symbiont mobs and people go back to normal and The virus infected ones are back to normal but lose all of their memories completely and The Virus gets disinfected and disintegrate into nothing but normal again.
The virus was also cancelled and scrapped and removed even Ivor original Wither Storm because The virus was way too similar to other viruses from horror games and That plan would be enough to make Jesse actually kill him.

This is a really cool mod, I can imagine Mojang watching this video and being pleased for the amount of hard work that has been put into the mod. If they ever decide to add the Wither Storm as the new boss in the game, killing it will cause the player to receive the "true ending", where the player wakes up for a second time due to a horrible nightmare. Like the Ender Dragon, players can grab Wither storm breath using empty bottles to brew Wither+ potions, which they can be used to splash other players and mobs for the sickness effect. Wither skeletons and the Wither itself are immune to the sickness effect and normal skeletons with the wither effect will gradually turn into a wither skeleton.
Also, every world will contain roughly 3 command blocks that are stored inside temples (jungle or dessert) as legendary treasure loot. Since command blocks are unobtainable through crafting, they would have to search temples in order to find it. Since a world is infinite with 30M blocks surrounding each axis, there can be an item that is used to track the nearest command block, it acts like a compass or the special maps used to find woodland mansions or ocean monuments. Yes, 3 command blocks is very little and can be a challenge, but the reward for receiving unbreakable tools/armor + overpowered potions + unique blocks pays out.
I doubt all of the things that I said would become real features since most people play Minecraft for its creativity, but the idea of being able to receive a true ending upon killing the Wither storm would wrap up the storybooks for a Minecraft world, since it's likely that the player has done everything while they locate the command blocks.

I don't think I'll review your Minecraft mod review videos anymore as they've reach peak quality compared to when your channel was starting out. I'll still watch and provide feedback just not whole essays of feedback that said I still somehow manage to write whole essays accidentally. They should make it so multiple run-down houses generate so you can fight the wither storm more than once. Or, if you're a masochist, spawn more than one at a time.

I feel like the wither symbiont's "only damageable in its back" gimmick is a little too similar to that of the ferrous wroughtnaut from Mowzie's Mobs.
Oh yeah that's spot on, it's exactly the same. Additionally, the only time you can get a clean hit off on the symbiont is during its recharge state. The only time you can get a hit off on the wroughtnaut is when the boss gets his axe stuck
