The wither storm is possibly the best aspect of Minecraft story mode and makes for a terrifying world ending monster. This mod captures that fear in a much more direct way, as now, it’s your story, and you’re the one in control.

Fun fact: it's actually smarter to ignore the storm after taking it out with the Fbomb.
It'll buy you more time.
Do note that after bombing the storm, you can go away. But it will wake up eventually. I highly recommend this, as you can use this valuable witherless time to gather a LOT of materials

@@dashdestroyer8238 the wither storm wakes up after 60 minutes or if you go near the command block after formidibombing the witherstorm
I have never tried that but I believe it will work
the formidi-bomb has got to be one of the best jokes mojang has made to this day
On mobile, it got shortened to a much worse variant of “bomb”

Fun fact: if you leave the bowels mid command block fight, in phase 1 it will stop moving, have all but 1 head on each storm break, the teeth will blink, and they will fall a bit, but recover. All but the 2nd effect get more intense with each phase, the 2nd effect does not seem to repeat
this also means you can "tame" the wither storm by hitting it once, since it'll stop chasing you
So you're telling me, you go through a world terrorising monster, capable of withering, having to defeat 2 minibosses, having to craft a nuke that only makes it worse, so you go into the belly of the beast, fight off swarms of monsters to destroy the heart, get the ultimate reward

Im gonna take a race with my friends on destroying it. Its such a cool mod and the constant pressure it puts on you by constantly being chased is incredible!
Can you play it with a friend? We tried in minehut server nut it didnt work.

It would be cool if there was an option after you defest the wither storm to regenerate all the destroyed chunks

@@TheTaintedOneNot necessarily! The mod would have access to the world seed, and could just use the game’s native worldgen as a basis.
@@the_furf_of_july4652 Well, this has been asked before and Crackers himself said this would be too much checking. This also would cause a LOT of lag since you can't exactly stay in one spot while fighting the wither storm
Maybe like (If it doesn't crash) have like a withered beacon, all 4 support beacons and like... Something really valuable like a netherite block?
@@miningthecrafters633 this wouldn't change anything. It would just be an easy way to crash your game. There would be far too much checking for this to be possible.

Minecraft story mode. Great ideas you made Telltale and Mojang! i love the wither storm. Playing McSm for the first time was amazing. sad TT games was shut down. really wanted season 3. :(

words cannot describe how badly I want this mod. I've only seen this kind of modding skill once before. Halo 3 ultimate firefight.
Honestly to say this mod is incredible would be a colossal understatement. However the only thing I can think if to make it even better is to give the wither's tentacles a melee attack while you're still outside the storm. So if you get too close for whatever reason you might get swatted by one of those tentacles, getting hit would fling you back and you'll receive impact damage and possible wither sickness.
Your such a good youtuber even to the point on my first time watching you I subscribed :)

One question: while holding the amulet, it is aware of your presence. When you stop holding it, does it forget where your are? Or does it keep going faster towards you?
It always knows where you are. The amulet just makes you the #1 target
so the full way it works is:
in phases 1-3, the witherstorm will not automatically track you, it'll only track if you're too close, but if you have the amulet then it'll track you no matter what.
in phases 4-7, the witherstorm will track you across any distance however in multiplayer it can change it's target, usually picking the closest target and following them until they die, go to another dimension or leave the game, but if you have the amulet then it'll always track you whenever possible
this occurs as long as the amulet is in your inventory afaik, removing the amulet doesn't make you not it's target anymore, it just means that you can get it's attention off you if someone else is closer to it than you
It will keep chasing you if you are more then 100 blocks away.
Simple terms, the witherstorm follows you no matter what in singleplayer but in multiplayer it can change targets
The resummoning also means the Command Block was absorbed by the Withered Nether Star
It’s so crazy that a wither with a command block in the middle created that monstrosity

I remember playing this mod for the first time,it was on a laptop and it took ages to do anything and was really laggy,it took 10 minutes to load the explosion,but once I got to the command block,I was terrified when the rib things closed on it,I though it was over

I found that in phase 3, as long as you have perfect armor, and a really really good diamond sword, and a fuck ton of golden apples, you can actually manage to kill it when it tractor beams you(this isnt supposed to be possible but its funny)

The reason the fireworks distract the wither storm is because when their launched their known as an entity to minecraft
the wither storm is coded to specifically look at launched fireworks
This mod is awesome and insanely accurate to story mode, also, this is super chaotic too.

what are ur shaders and how did u get shaders in forge, or whatever thing you use?
the modpack should have a setting that makes them spawn randomly and only 1 in like a 50k to 100k radius making this like a final boss

The tentacles are supposed to be scribbling and also one of the stages do not look like a story mode wither storm stage
his shaders are complementary if yall are wondering (its closest i found, might not be exact)
Fun fact: the wither storm knows your location if you hold the amulet because in minecraft story mode, ivor programed the command block to track the amulet
Please add the distance horizon mod to this it would make it 10x better
You probably get this a whole lot, and technically these mods are for 1.18.2, but would you mind reviewing the Star Worm Equestrian Mod and its counterparts? SWEM might not be appealing to a lot of people, but they have a whole host of mods specially made for servers such as the Star Worm Plus Mod and the Star Worm Economy Mod, but for builders, they have the Star Worm Lighting and Star Worm Deco Mods that are simply just fantastic, and I'd appreciate it a lot if you went and at least checked them out!
