Totally agree! We had the best years of everything, the outdoors and playing outside with friends. In those days you could find good friends, going to the movies was cheap and a slice of pizza with a drink was 10 cents.
Oh by the way my daughter is the age of you kids she's 72. Just think I was around when these songs came out. I did the dance the Bop in the '50s and I did the twist in the 60s. I still like rock and roll I have Alexa play it. I watch the news. And watch good movies lots of them old movies. And of course I do my UA-cam everyday keeps my mind active I walk with a walker outside to my patio Garden my daughter and her husband live in the same apartment building but in different apartment. Love to read books.
Growing up, I was born 1947 and we had the greatest music of all high school of my grandparents house, and my grandfather would listen to the Ames Brothers the ink spots. Victim moon is to watch Lawrence Welk. I still do today on Saturday nights, and Sunday nights grew up with Patty page All the big band music and a lot of times when I watch Lawrence Welk I sing along like people at Kay Kaiser Kate Smith. I grew up with the with the singing Cowboys like Gene Autry Roy Rogers the big band sounds Harry James Benny Goodman that was all the rock ‘n’ roll hits all the beautiful groups like the Duprees The rays back, then there was harmonized groups each generation as their own music music is great for the soul. It can calm you the groups that was at they were on the show brings back a lot of memories folks, the Chantelle, and maybe take care folks.
Your generation consumed most of the worlds resources now were scrabbling to find solutions to the problema your generation created. Thanks! Hope you enjoyed the good ole days
A 77 year old Jersey City Boy Here.( Now In Green Valley, Az. ) Went to the same High School that the original Duprees went to. Dickinson High School. Great Music, excellent Harmonies. Miss those days.
This is what you get when music is part of elementary and secondary education. We all had an interest in it when we were young and it was a major part of our life. We learned how to sing, play instruments and made GOOD music a part of our lives that carries through to today.
They don't make them any better than this song or the fabulous Duprees for that matter their music will last forever until the end of time Michael Asaro photojournalist from Waterbury Connecticut😊❤
They will always be our favorites! We had the pleasure of seeing them at the BB Mann Performance Center in FT. Myers, FL a few years ago. Just amazing! Karin and Marcel
They performed at my high school prom what a memory I still remember the guy who took me he was in the service went to viet nam he came back married someone else but thanks for the great memories 💕

I love the pride each back up singer expressed - it is complete with lead and back up. Thank You. The lead singer hasn't lost anything over the yrs - still strong and clear.
I only heard of one guy, who does this song better than the original lead of the Duprees. That singer was Terry Richard's of the Chase band. We sang around in high school. He did this song at Ceasars Palace in 1976 when headlining there as a solo performer. WOW absolutely the best I ever heard on this song.
I saw these guys live a hundred years ago. They were singing in a bar on the Black Horse Pike in New Jersey on the way to Atlantic City. They were young. They were energy and sound magical. The Niteclub/Bar atmosphere hinted at dangerous. Wish I could remember name of the Club.

You can actually hear the words and sing along! Diction...that they don't have today as everything runs together since they are more concerned about hitting the notes. Well done! Cindy

One of my favorite songs of all time. Written in 1952 by Lew Douglas and LeRoy Rodde.
Thank you for this video.
Yes, we had the best music, from about 1950 through about 1990. Forty years of greatness.
This is what you get when music is part of elementary and secondary education. We all had an interest in it when we were young and it was a major part of our life. We learned how to sing, play instruments and made GOOD music a part of our lives that carries through to today.

I just turned 85, listen to all 50s, a few early 60s often. bob g
Tommy the greatest!,
They are so cute
And they know how to dress
As the decades go by the new punks who never heard these classics get lost for the newer crap out there, I no longer pay that organization any mind
You can actually hear the words and sing along! Diction...that they don't have today as everything runs together since they are more concerned about hitting the notes. Well done! Cindy
Thais Great, where is Why Don’t You Believe Me
This performance equates for me personally, absolute perfection.
saw them at The Claridge in Atlantic City with a different lead singer...
Does anyone know the brand of bracelet the lead singer is wearing?
I much prefer Ritchie Rosato on lead vocals, just saying.
THE BEST MUSIC EVER
